Scary, reminds me of Harry Potter of the song Lullaby by the Cure.

I believe that I can see reflections of all three SB-200 speedlights. Can you diffuse each individually, as well as the lightbox? That should add enough diffusion to soften the reflections.

It's a definite challenge. I had reflections off the spider before I shot, just from any light source in the room. Tough subject. She was grooming and I think I caught the fangs barely exposed

This is one reason many of us shade subject from other light sources, relying solely on our diffused speedlights.

Please post a picture. I use two r-200s and I've designed a DIY. I might have some suggestions.

The light box is at work. It's a cardboard box with the panels replaced with white opaque cloth. I set one light on top and the other two on opposing sides. For the background I used a piece of granite rock. I may try again and use diffusers on the flashes outside the box. It Will be interesting because she reflects everything.

Thanks. I made a cone-shaped diffuser and fire the R200s through the cone. I used strips of Velcro so I can store it flat. If ok with you, I'll post it here.

I haven't tried this with the "factory" snap on diffusers, as they tend to dislodge with a slight bump. I play with light ratios, and generally have my "main" flash at 1/4 power & my second one at 1/16. I plan to pick up a SU-800 soon so I don't have to fiddle with the menu. I have 4 small pieces of Velcro on the inside of the ring adapter which corresponds with the same placement on the cone. Then a strip down the side allows me to flatten the diffuser for storage. I plan to do a fair amount of hiking with my field rig this summer. I used heat seal laminate pockets.

Thank you for the pic of your diffuser lonerangefinder. I shoot with a Sigma 150mm. Will that still work if my subject is farther away?

It would likely require some modification: a larger diameter for the outside would allow the diffused light to reach the greater MWD. I have two versions now. I'm planning a third because I will likely get that third party 60mm 2:1 macro lens that was recently reviewed by Thomas Shahan & UHH member OrionMystery.
