Wish I was there, in spring or fall, I'll let you have summer to yourself.
There have been times in the past when having fish bite got in the way of just enjoying being there. Part of the time my buddy and I would use lures with the barb cut off just for the fun of fishing without having to clean anything etc.

Hi Dave

And welcome to retirement. Hope you find a smooth transaction to it, and time serve you as you wish :)
I am not an expert, but i took the time to read about the camera, and must say that is looking like a fine simple mean machine to me :)

Thanx for the reply Bob :) . It helped me conclude a little about my studies and experience.

Quote : "Do you think it's because photographers are not as patient as fishermen?"

sometimes you have to be in the correct spot at the correct time. Fishing is an art as well :) And having a rod and a boat doesn't mean one know how to fish :)

I have one question Bob. Is there some post process on this ?

I am looking at the full download ,and looking at the trees it gives me the feeling that something has been done. Often when i exaggerate with noise reduction, i get the same look. Just curious for my learning.

There are details missing in this case to just answer straight out.
the message you get is very similar to Group Policy restrictions or IE security.

The weird part is that this happened to both laptop and workstation, but not on ipad? that's odd. And other links work fine? Are all devices using same router and internet line ?

My first thought is that you may have blocked UHH address somehow. If you are using IE try resetting it. I just cant figure out how could this affect two computers unless you are using a domain structure or something to provide same settings on both PC's. And that's why it makes me think this is not just a setting on and off on one computer.

Like Armadillo mentioned, check also you Firewall and add-on. Try disabling them and test.

You can also check if your computers are able to resolve the IP-address? Start - CMD - and type : ping www.uglyhedgehog.com and see if you get a reply. If you do not get any reply's that may indicate a DNS problem or firewall blocking UHH addresses.

Little hard to say what the problem is as this kind of messages often appears due to restriction set to computers either through group policies or other tweaking program. I am not thinking virus, cause you mentioned other links works ok. Otherwise it could indicate that.

Thanks Jim. I've learned something about landscape shots from Minniev. If you include people, no matter how small they may be, it adds a whole new meaning to the image. If it hadn't been for the fisherman in his bass boat, this would have been a largely uninteresting undertaking.

And i think i just learned something new myself :)
Thank you for sharing

Bob,
I really do enjoy fishing and I am doing it a lot. It's my best form for therapy. Stalking a fish, catching it, and release it unscratched back to it's habitat, it's a wonderful felling.

Hi Djack,

They are honestly both beautiful. The first one I love the most, simply because of the movement in the picture. Having in mind that it's in air collecting it's nectar the picture has more realistic dynamics in it. I would go for the crisp sharp solution maybe if I would like to make a portrait of the hummer.

I have commented my thought on this, simply to test myself. I am no expert :)

As the Autumn is getting closer,it's less and less daylight and surely I'll be spending more time outside capturing the beauty of the night sky. Until then , I'll practice and read some more.

As promised , i will post some more.
Last night I was 54 km away from Oslo to the Observatory in hope to practice some more on my night photography. Just brought my Tokina 11-16mm Pro and was eager to test. Especially on this occasion of the Swift comet making it's appearance. I learned a lot from this evening even from all try and fails. Cause at the end , I was able to catch a star :)

An hour later , I was in my car just started to hit the road back home. When suddenly the sky lit up , as a brighter light was catching me from behind. And when it caught up with me like in 2 sec. I was able to this see big greenish firelight with long tale, crossing the sky on low altitude very fast passing me. I believe I may have lost that particular chance for a once in a life picture. Even thou , It inspires me to be ready for the next chance I will get.

This is my best effort from this evening. Some retouch was necessary.
