I like the higher contrast in the water. The detail that I can now see in the trees is much better. The trees now "pop" out at me. I can clearly see the towers in the re-touched up version. I missed them in the original. Overall, very nice job!

Are there any interesting settings that can be used to get interesting pics? Love to get the swing of the bat in motion or blur it when it hits the ball. something different.

It all depends upon your shutter speed. How much blur do you want? Here are 2 examples of that. I took these last week. Both are heavily cropped to get in closer to see the detail. I think these photos represent each extreme. One too fast, and the other too slow. Taking these kind of pictures at a night game is well, a whole new ball game!

Please share your best lightening shot and talk about how you captured it.

Saw some lightening one evening, grabbed the tripod and just played with different settings. It was mostly a guessing game. That is why the shutter is open for 30 seconds!

What is the animal in the second photo?

A deer. There are about 6 of them to the right of the frame. They come down from the mountains during the winter. Basically they are rats with real long legs and short tails. They eat any and all vegetation. They destroy flower gardens and trees.

On the bright side, no need for fertilizer in the spring for the lawn!
