Very nice photos!!! Thanks for the warning about the snake and I do hope that was a VERY long lens you were using to capture Mr Rattlesnake.

I love #3!!! What gorgeous color!!!

Looking forward to more of your adventures.

You will be in my prayers!! I agree with AJFRED that you should go now. I helped my neighbor through her recovery when she had knee replacement and she had it rough. I would have been in a mess trying to get her out if there was a hurricane coming here. She was in so much pain and all movements sent bolts of pain through her. An evacuation trip would have been torture. If you go now, you can take your time and stop as you need to instead of having to go as fast as you can to get away.

Good luck and keep us all posted.

Sorry you had to give up your toy. I bet it was a heck of a ride.

I have a Goldwing and an FJR 1300. The top case is where I put the camera gear on the Goldwing and I don't use anything other than the regular camera bag my equipment is kept/carried in. My Tamron 150-600 lens (in its padded case) and tripod go into a saddle bag and I put the bike's rain cover in first for extra heat protection. There has never been any problems with any of the equipment and the farthest it's been has been from NC to Vermont, New Hampshire and a quick dip into Maine and back to NC.

I don't take long trips on the FJR because it's too uncomfortable and there are only side bags on it. I have to use a smaller bag and take less equipment but I've never had any issues.

Best wishes for a fantastic trip!!!

If you will check Steve Perry's website or his YouTube channel he just did a video a week ago about not losing your photos. He talks about how he backs up his photos and talks about the advantages of SSD drives vs regular hard drives including their durability.

You can try contacting him either here on UHH or on his website if you have any questions that aren't answered by the video.

Very nice!!! It's nice to see these 2 planes together showing how much advancement has been made in aero technology. When you see what we have today it's almost hard to believe that those old planes were able to do the jobs they did (and in some cases....are still doing)

I love prop planes; there is just something about the sound they make.

Thanks for sharing!!!

#1 is the one I like best. Is this a cropped photo? Is it possible to get the rest of the rings in the top left? Just want to see if it makes a significant difference have the rings complete. As it is, the rings lead my eye out of the photo but I still think it's a strong photo. JUST MY OPINION!!!

Thank you, Tom!!! I appreciate all the info. There is a similar fountain at the local botanical garden that I have shot many times but never been pleased with the result so, thanks to you, I have new settings to try.

I really like the look of the second one. Do you know what your shutter speed and ISO are on this one? I know it will vary with different fountains and lighting but just curious.

2(2+2) Is this not 1

That can't be the correct answer as you wrote the original formula

8/2(2+2)= 8 divided by 2 times (2 plus 2) equals

8 divided by 2 = 4
2 plus 2 = 4
4 times 4 = 16

If you've never seen the method of finding the answer using the "new math" go to YouTube and watch a video. I couldn't believe the stupidity of it and couldn't watch the entire video because it was driving me crazy and making me angry. I can't imagine using this method to figure out the interest for a car payment or mortgage. Imagine using this method to launch a rocket to Mars.

There was nothing wrong with the old math. It terrifies me to think what this world will be like in 40 or 50 years if this type of low standard learning is allowed to continue.
