Keep going! This is a very attractive work and the lighting is quite interesting. Well done.
Thank you, tommystrat!!! I appreciate your comments. The lighting is the overhead LED bulbs in the room's light fixture.

I thought I would share one of mine with all of you. I took this many years ago at our local botanical garden and one of the photos that PatoGrahpy posted reminded me of this one.

I have mentioned in a previous post that I am taking a photography course (hobby type) at the local community college to get back in taking photographs. The instructor has a penchant for reflections and "shooting through". Since it was raining I decided to keep my photography indoors and chose this paperweight for my subject. The colored items you see behind are from a weighted decoration for the balloons from my birthday. I did shoot through them but wasn't as pleased with the results as I was using it as part of the background.
Just as an FYI the eagle in the glass is not a sharp object. I did check focus both manually and with Auto focus.
This was taken with my Nikon D810, f3.5, 1/6 second, ISO 100. The camera was on a tripod and I used a shutter release cable to minimize camera shake.
All comments, critiques and suggestions are welcome. I learn from what others see.
Very nice!!! I really like #5, #6 and #7.

Leaves are everywhere and come in all sizes, shapes and colors. Leaves where you live are likely different from some here in New England. Post leaves in your neighborhood or from your travels.
Very nice, PatoGraphy!!! I love the second and third ones!!! The second one reminds of one that I have. I will have to look for it to add to this thread.

Great shots! Sharp images for being handheld at that low shutter speed. Thanx for sharing.

I like the vertical!! I like the composition on this one better as it more fully fills the space. The lighting is better in the vertical especially on the leaves in the upper corner but is a little strong on the berries. You might want to consider a diffuser or bouncing the flash. Very will done and I look forward to more!!!

I prefer the black plate and agree that an increase in DOF is called for. Personally, I find both of these could use more props to make this more inviting. Try adding some utensils, garnish, glasses or cups. JUST MY OPINION!!!
