Sarge
Thanks for the welcome, Sarge, but that is a tall request!!
Thank you all for the friendly welcome! I plan to be visiting UHH quite a bit and hopefully, getting to know you all better. Ggiaphotos: you are right there is a lot of helpful info floating around this site & I plan to take advantage of it! Ddrum: My husband washes them in big wash tubs at the barn...lots easier than in the kitchen sink!! edwinj: I didn't get back on UHH until after supper...dang you missed it tonight but we've always got something good to eat here! Rocco, thanks I'm looking forward to spending more time here! Thanks again, everyone, for the warm welcome.
I have been hanging around here for quite some time now and since I finally got up enough courage to post a few pictures, I thought I should introduce myself. I take pictures for the pure pleasure it brings me. All of you are waaaay over my head....but (as the old saying goes) "even a blind hog will get an acorn every now and then". So, I plan to learn for all of you. And if my quote didn't let you know just how country I am...I'm sure this picture will. It is a picture of what I have cooking for supper (or at least part of it). They were brought in fresh from the garden & washed by my husband. Now, ladies, that's a good man!!!
Mmmmmm...fresh mustard greens.........

I have been watching this site for quite some time now & have thoroughly enjoyed all of the beautiful pictures posted here. This, however, is my first time posting a picture!! (Hope I can get it right.) I just could not resist this challenge!! First picture is an old one I scanned to my computer from an old snapshot I took of our rooster. The other two were taken this summer. The "twins" was taken at Laguna beach and "birds of a feather" I threw in just for fun. It is of melons I carved for a friends wedding this summer.

Thank you...I thought someone might get a "kick" out of it. I have a better one that I'll try to post (I didn't post the one I meant to). This one is much better...I think.
"Peacocks"???

What is the best way to eat an Oreo cookie. Personally I press the two sides apart sideways and I scrape the white stuff off with my teeth and then I eat the cookies usually with a little milk. YUM YUM.
Hi, I've been lurking around for a while now enjoying all the great pictures on this site. I couldn't resist this post...hope I'm doing it right. I make individual cheese cakes out of them. Using the paper lines in a cupcake pan I place a whole oreo in the bottom cheese cake on top & bake in the oven. When they cool I top with hot fudge & whipped cream........this is my granddaughters favorite way to eat an Oreo. Now that I've broken the ice, maybe I'll have courage enough to post a picture!!
