I'm SO sorry it's taken me a couple of days extra to get this posted.... I'll accept the blame and punishment without complaint as they are deserved! *blush*

Anyway, this week's theme for the the 52 weeks=52 pics Challenge is:

BIRDS OF A FEATHER

Many of you have been asking about the new theme and illness has kept me away for a few days making me late in posting. I'm thinking of asking another member to be my backup when these things happen... will keep you posted (and if you're interested, please contact me in PM. Thanks!)

The Rules are: there aren't any. This is a Challenge, geared towards giving us an opportunity to get out there and shoot with fresh eyes and perspective. The motivation and reward is intrinsic to the experience itself... (and the kudos and congratulations of fellow participants surely doesn't hurt!) *snickers*

Good Luck and Happy Shooting!

Great photos, Tilde. I really like the composition of the gulls. :)

Thanks Bmac!
I was rather tickled with that one, too... but it's kinda pale. Considering how far away they were and the fact that this was taken hand-held, I'll TAKE it and be happy with it! :)

Dear tilde,
Your second shot, of the Mallard, has lovely texture and color in the water. The bird is almost superfluous -- you could have had a post there, just to show some scale. The water, though, is quite hypnotic.
