1*6 wasn't looney tunes. It was a violent attack on our democracy fueled by stupid people who believed the lies told by Trump, Fox News, etc. Read the e-mails sent by Tucker Carlson and other Fox carnival barkers. Stop allowing your far right media to make you look like a bunch of stupid, gullible fools.

They are stupid gullible fools.

Its the older push-pull version but remains one of my favorite and most used lenses. Dropped it a few inches and later noticed the focus limiter switch had popped off. Lens continues to focus and operate normally otherwise. Have tried re-attaching the switch but it doesn't stay on so just covered the gap with gorilla tape. Is there an easy trick to re-attaching the switch?

Don't really care what brand camera anyone uses but that looks like a lot of lens power to me. What are they photographing, the woman's fingernails?

First, thanks to all hoggers who took the time to post with advice and opinions. Some of it was conflicting but I think I have distilled the suggestions into a workable plan. I like the idea of carrying less, or a least lighter equipment, so I am leaning toward purchasing an 18-200 mm zoom instead of carrying my heavy 80-200. Seems I can get one used for between $125 and $150, which would eliminate the need for the 80-200 and 35-70. and I can always sell it on my return if that's what I decide. Still going to bring the 12-24 since I having a true wide angle on my crop sensor camera. Leaving open the option of the 24 2.8 and the teleconverter because I can always leave them in the cabin, depending on the days activities. (We've taken lots of cruises and have yet to have anything stolen from the cabin, so that's not a big concern.) No tripod, wasn't planning on it anyway. Thanks again for all the help.

Overkill. Reduce to just two lenses, something 'fast' for indoors, and something longish for distant shots and wide enough when close (or vast). So, fast and wide(ish) can be the same lens to get down to two.

I do like the idea of less. So would you ditch the 80-200 or 35-70? Both are F 2.8, my fastest. The 12-24, which I definitely want to take, is an F4. Also have a 24mm 2.8, small and lightweight that I could sub for one of the telephotos for indoors. Should have mentioned my camera is a crop sensor without built-in flash and the lenses are DX. Final option would be to try to find something used that that would cover the the telephoto distances. Budget could be an issue there.

After waiting two years, we're leaving in mid-January. Plan now is to take my 80-200 zoom, 35-70 zoom, 12-24 wide angle and a 1.4 teleconverter, all of which can be carried in a vest, leaving behind the 200-500 and 300mm. Any thoughts or suggestions?
