What kind of camera are you using? Indoor sports photography has different issues and setting involved then outdoor. You might get better results with the lens your using outdoors if you use manual mode and a higher shutter speed as well as setting your own focal point in your camera. But, if you could tell me what type of camera you are using, I could make some better suggestions.
I love black and whites and I love shadows so I have been trying out different looks. I love these shots of my son (who is so handsome by the way :) ). I like the dramatic shadows and the way the light falls on his face. Very intense.
It's been awhile since I have been on this website...been busy shooting and living life. But, I am glad to be back and see what everyone is doing.
This is a shot of my son in one of his many slide tackles he does during any given game. He did this one in front of several college coaches so that's a plus!
color is great, looks slightly dark on my screen but its a nice shot and I am so envious...I'd love to go to Australia.
I like the truck too...would have like to see more of the front kind of feels cut off in the front to me but I like the colors and the angle.
What a majestic bird... I love to see the eagles and their nests.
Nice job and congratulations!
I agree with what everyone else has said about the photo and grouping and positioning etc...
But, knowing that age group of boys and that the coaches only allow a few short minutes to get the group photo before a game, I think it looks pretty good. Improvements can always be made and you learn from each time you take it. The next one you take you will have learned from what you did and didn't do for this one.
My only suggestion to possibly give you some more time to take the photo is to have everyone show up a bit earlier than the coach has requested them to be there. Also make sure the soccer ball is in the center either on the ground or have the goalie in the middle holding it. Good job for your first time.
Love the second to last one, you can really see the connection between them. The horse loving being scratched with his eyes closed...great!
Loved the first one, great composition and how nice of him to pose for you! :)
I am a canon user myself but with regards to the lens, I probably would go with the all around 18-270mm to start with especially if you have a budget to stick to. Later you can add other lenses to your collection like the 50mm. I don't have the Tamron lens but probably people here do and have some experience with them but in general start with the more versatile lens in my opinion.
That's great and fun to watch too...Love Dogs!
nice color...love the rainbow. Love your avatar too... I saw those signs in Scotland when I traveled with my parents on their 50th Anniversary. We laughed so hard. I don't think I have ever seen those signs in the US.
Very nice...can't wait to see more.
