I am using AI. I find that it will not convert DNG files. Checked with customer servive and told my computer will not handle DNG files. Program works OK with TIF files. Happy with performance.

I resolved one of the problems I have with Topaz AI. By experimentation, I found that the program will not work with a DNG file. It seems to work OK with TIF files. I am in contact with the support group over the issue.

Downloaded paint and it worked OK. Might be a simple post-processing program for simple edits. Thanks for the suggestion.

You want to adjust the pixel resolution, that is the 'length' by 'width' size of the image as measured in pixels. What are the pixel dimensions of the current file and what do you want them to be afterward? If 400,000 pixels is the desired resolution, this is a file measured as 1000px by 400px, or any similar dimensions that calculate to 400,000-pixels.

This discussion probably has way more detail than you're looking for, but most any digital editing software will help you adjust the pixel dimensions: Recommended resizing parameters for digital images

For free software, the 'resize' option within Windows Paint will help, whether you adjust the percentage or pixels. Apple will have something free and similar. As discussed in the link above, 2048-pixels on the long side of the file is more than enough for the pixel resolution of a cell phone display.

Thanks
I will try Paint

Does anyone know of a free program that will convert the JPEG pixel count to a smaller number for a picture from my cellphone? For example, the cellphone pixel count is 4m and I am looking to get a 240dpi JPEG in the 400k pixel count.

Back from a cruise in October. I liked the old towns in the cities and towns we visited. I would caution you that many of the streets have cobblestones. EASY TO TRIP ON. Most of the trip was on a bus as the towns were not near the Danube. This limited the time in each location we stopped at. I spent several days in Brasov in Transylvania. I liked walking around the old town. A result of the war of independence between Serbia and Croatia can be seen in the town of Vukovar, Croatia.
Enjoy the trip.

In my workflow, I use photoshop initially, starting in raw, especially to resize the image to its final dimensions and other corrections then to Topaz for cleanup and making a frame around the image. Both PS and Topaz have different tools that I like to use.

I have accumulated a batch of various Epson ink cartridges and am interested in recycling them. Any suggestions? Staples will take them back for credit but over the years, I never received any credit so they are not a solution. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for sharing. If you ever are in Riverside CA, you would enjoy the camera collection at the UCR Museum of Photography. They should have info available on their web site.

I am using a laptop to control my Nikon d300 with a USB cable, There are several programs available for controlling the Nikon from the laptop. You will need an external power cable as changing the batteries is not feasible. Use autofocus if possible if not use direct view with mirror up. Can you use a mirror to reflect the image so the camera does not get direct exposure to the radiation? Curious as to the solution you come up with.
