I used to see this when shooting my grandson's hockey. One rink in particular was very bad about color shift. Random photos would need the white balance adjusted. I never put enough detective work into whether it was a particular spot on the ice (light) or what. Saw it with a D7200 and a D750. I shoot in RAW, so it's just a minor annoyance to fix it usually.

Lots of good advice on here already. I shot my grandson playing Junior hockey for several years, and what worked for me was to shoot some test exposures during warmups, then set your exposure in Manual mode, and shoot away. With my D750 and 70-200 f/2.8 lens, I generally shot at ISO 6400, f/2.8, 1/1000. Faster shutter speed if the lighting will allow it. Clean up the noise in Topaz DeNoise.

Samples at the flickr link in my signature.

Why are so many missing? The right-hand column seems to skip around. I don't want to miss any of Gibbs' rules; I might get slapped upside my head!

You can change the file associations in Bridge if you go to the 'Preferences', 'File Type Associations'. You can designate some program other than Photoshop to open a particular type of file.

Used Generative Fill in Photoshop to make up the top and bottom. I did the top first, and I thought it did a great job. Wasn't expecting such a good job on the bottom, though. I think it looks pretty good.

EDIT:
Just saw the photo posted above. No wonder Photoshop did a good job; it had seen the photo before!

YOU dont get it. YOU did not post the photo.

If you cant be bothered to post an image then quite clearly its not worthy of note.

Did you click on the link? It's not a still photo, it's a video. I don't know; can you post videos on here? I don't think so, but I've never tried it.

If you can't be bothered to click on the link, then you don't know what we're talking about, and it would be better to refrain from comment, don't you think?

Fantastic concert images John! What did you shoot with?

I bought a little Panasonic Lumix DC-ZS80 to take to shows. Most of the venues around here will allow "non-professional" cameras, defined as not having an interchangable lens, and about the size of a shirt pocket. I got the Lumix because of its incredible optical zoom range (35mm equivalent) of 24-720mm. The down side is the maximum aperture range is f/3.3 to f/6.4, depending on the current zoom. I shoot in Aperture priority with the lens as wide open as it will go. I had a lot of trouble getting sharp photos with it at first, due to low shutter speeds. Then I discovered how to put the ISO into 'extended' range, and now shoot most of the shows at ISO 5000. Everything has to run through Topaz DeNoise AI at the 'Severe Noise' setting, but they come out looking pretty good.

The Panasonic shoots some great video, too. Here's a link to my Dropbox with a video of short clips...

My wife and I saw Peter Frampton at ACL Live at the Moody Theater this past Monday. It was a great show; the band played for about 2-1/2 hours! He played all his big hits, and some lesser known songs. He also played great covers of "Black Hole Sun" and "Georgia". The band jammed for almost 20 minutes on "Do You Feel Like We Do"!

Peter is suffering from inclusion body myositis (IBM), a progressive muscle disorder characterised by muscle inflammation, weakness, and atrophy. He and the rest of the band played seated the entire night. "Standing", he told Guitar World in September 2022, "would be dangerous for me now, because I get so carried away when I'm playing that I'm liable to fall over". Frampton continued, "It's starting to affect my hands, but not enough yet, so I can still play a good lick. But I'll be honest, I'm anxious about it."

This tour was the "Never Say Never" tour, as he did not think he would still be able to play. At the end of the show, he said he would keep fighting the disease and playing as long as he was able.

All photos taken with my "concert camera", a Panasonic Lumix DC-ZS80, at ISO 5000.

I would certainly use one of those for some shop items but I never keep that many caulk containers. Most of them would solidify by the time I wanted to use them. Even though I usually plug it with a 3" #12 phillips head screw or even a 1/4" lag bolt.

Go to Amazon and get some of these little "caulk condoms". They work much better than a nail or bolt in the tube.

I've heard these air tight tubes work well, but haven't tried them.

The Nikon Z8 and Z9 have totally electronic shutters. No mechanical shutter in the camera. You have to set the camera to make a noise when it takes a photo or it will be totally silent. Have gotten a few photos of my grandson that way (he hates to have his picture taken).

I like that you can set the camera to close a shutter over the sensor when off.

Great shots! I'd like to go to a concert where they don't check your bags and make sure you don't have a camera.

Most of the smaller venues around here will allow a small 'pocket-size' camera without interchangeable lenses. I just put the camera in the tray and walk through the metal detector. That's why I bought the Lumix DC-ZS880. The lens doesn't come off, but it will extend from 24 to 720mm!

Some really nice shots. I've never seen a four string guitar before! But then, I'm not a huge ZZ Top fan. Show me some Pink Floyd!!

If you're referring to the last photo, I think that's a bass on top and a regular 6-string guitar on the bottom.

Saw ZZ Top on 10/30 at the Majestic Theatre in San Antonio. The guys put on a great show!

All photos taken with my concert camera, a Panasonic Lumix DC-SZ80, at ISO 5000.

Elwood Francis replaced the late Dusty Hill on bass. He came out playing this crazy thing, but only played it for one song. 50mm, f/5.7, 1/1000

When I first import my photos from the memory card, I put them on computer into a folder called "Temp". I then use a Bulk Rename program to rename the files into something like "2023-10-30_Baseball-001". I have folders on my computer for each year, and under that are categories. So all the new baseball photos get copied into the "2023\Austin Baseball" folder (Austin is my grandson).

Only now do I start up Lightroom and import the new files. I point Lightroom at the "2023\Austin Baseball" folder, and have the import set to "New Files", so it is easy to select the new ones. After import, I highlight all the newly imported photos (click on the first one, then hold Shift as you click on the last one to highlight them all). Then I right-click on the collection where I want the photos, and select "Add selected photos to this collection". I then process them.

As you can see, I have collection sets holding collection sets. So I have a collection set "Family" at the top. It holds another collection set, "Sports", besides various other collections. The "Sports" collection set has 2 collection sets, "Austin Baseball" and "Jason Hockey". Each of those hold collections of photos from one game or event.

Lightroom doesn't care where you put the photos on your computer, but I like some structure there, too. It's best to get the files renamed (if you are doing so) and in final place on your computer before importing them into Lightroom.
