As Wolf camera closed its doors, I was hitting stride as a photographer. They sold me a Nikon 28-70 medium zoom. It seems to be constructed of metal and has no VR. I like the lens a lot but do miss the VR. My request is for members to comment on the ins-and-outs of the 28-70 versus the newer 24- 70VR. I am shooting a D850 and have relatively good technique. What do you think?

I couldn't venture a guess but I have a large LowePro Backpack dedicated only to batteries and chargers.

Another option is OnOne. It is an up-and-comer with a lot of customer training and support. Currently considering a switch myself, for what it’s worth. Lots of add ons available. Costs about a hundred bucks. Just an option to consider. Have FUN!

As an option, check into zenfolio.com. You upload your photos for sale to zenfolio, then they take it from there. Customers may choose a plethora of options such as prints of all sizes and media, framed, mouse mats, cell phone covers, etc etc etc. They also accept credit cards on your behalf and allow you to set the markup for your items. Parents at their child’s sporting events go crazy for this stuff and you can make $2000-3500 in a weekend of little league. You could still create galleries on your zenfolio site for the work you are currently trying to sell, assuming you have them in digital format. I believe they are currently running a special for $180 (1/2 price) for annual service, and you create the images, upload, and collect the profits. They will even handle post processing, but this can get more costly. Might be an option to check out. This Possibility does not meet ALL your criteria however.

The grip has secondary button compatible with back-button AF. On the menu just set it to mimic the main body AF button. Just an FYI.

Ditto on Steve Perry’s book. It was and is a game changer for me.

This is just to let you know that Sam’s has 4tb USB 3.0 external drives for just under a hundred bucks. I bought 4 of them and that should keep me in business for several years. No worries about them getting full.
