Photography is a hobby for me as well
I had the P800 and now P900 and love it.
The quality that it produces when used with the correct papers is second to none.
It is actually cheaper in the long run than the P700.
Ink cost per milliliter is almost half. It only takes a couple of ink changes to pay for the difference.

Nice
Nothing like steam locos when the temps drop

I installed Win 11 and like it.
Everything runs snappier than Windows 10.
Some software running better.
Probably because they cleaned up a lot of the old code.

They apparently changed the color of the sky and the building seen to the left.
While it is cleaned, it also looks like the white balance between the 2 pics is different as well

Only one way to know for sure, and that's to use inks that were made for your printer.
If that was a print that was sold to a customer, your credibility would be questioned.
If it was sold to a customer or family member and was of a deceased relative, they would be disappointed to say the least.

Hello
There are performance settings in preferences I stumbled across that increased the speed of ON1.
The browsing preview redraws are now almost instantaneous. Processing is noticeably faster as well.
If you have a high end GPU I would suggest doing this.
Go to Edit, then preferences.
Click on the System Tab.
You will see the video card strength performance slider set to half.
Move the slider all the way up.

There are a couple of other things you can do as well.
Move the cache to your fastest drive. Also click on Empty cache.
Clearing cache is always a good thing to do now and then.
Click Ok
I was pleasantly surprised with the instant Upgrade :)
Good Luck
Jim

The Sunil to the left out of pic according to the tree shadows on the road. Maybe earlier in the day?

Way over processed for my personal taste but others like it like this

I would bet that it isn’t processed.
Some sunsets look like the sky is on fire. Almost surreal

Also the shroom is out of focus. The grass in the foreground looks like it caught the focus.

Katatl, what software are you using?
Use this pic and go crazy to find the limits.
Leave the original crop.
Move each slider to the maximum up and down position to see what it does.
You should have a haze slider. That will bring the clouds out nicely.
Reset between each adjustment.
If your software has presets, try the different ones. Notice how the different presets
move the different sliders.
Over time you will get a feel for them an it will be second nature.
Don’t be afraid to use a lot of movement in the sliders.
It won’t break anything.
Moving the sliders to the extremes will leave no doubt about what each one does.
Good luck and have fun.

I like it. Would rather the shot be rotated to the right a tad, but post shot it’s not always possible.

Another thing to consider when cropping is the ratio of the visioned printed pic.
If it is 4x5 (also 8x10, 16x20) try using one of the preset crops in your software.
Then drag your photo inside the crop until you have what you want. Then when it comes time to print, you aren’t disappointed that your selection doesn’t fit correctly.

The replacement is good but the sky is wrong for the shot.
You are looking straight up at the bird but the sky used is on an angle towards the horizon..

If you are a DSLR shooter then Lightroom and photoshop
If you shoot mirrorless and open to the future then ON1 2022.:)

I gave up on Lightroom and their screwy cataloging long ago.
Currently have DXO, luminar 4, luminar AI, Affinity, the Topaz series and ON1

ON1 has developed into a complete package with top end functions.
It includes the full standard raw processing plus class leading re-size, denoise, HDR, Panoramas, and full masking capabilities. Also includes Ai sky replacement and ai portrait functions. It now even accepts many of the Lightroom plugins.

The others have their individual strengths and may be a little better at individual tasks, but none get even close to ON1 for a full package of great working functions.

There is a learning curve since it has so much available, but there are tons of YouTube videos you can refer to for help.

A cheap pop up umbrella works as well. Shades the screen and gives you some shade too.
