The Washington Post ran these before/after laser-cleaning shots of the Jefferson Memorial. I think it’s remarkable that the bridge in front and the building behind-left were miraculously cleaned at the same time.

There was scaffolding around the Memorial for a long time. In prepared for the 1976 festivities, many buildings in DC received the same treatment.

They apparently changed the color of the sky and the building seen to the left.
While it is cleaned, it also looks like the white balance between the 2 pics is different as well

I love the nighttime view from there. Seems like it’s one of DC’s lesser appreciated places.

Looks photoshopped to me. It would have been nice if the photos were taken from the same perspective (etc) so they would look the same to show an actual comparison.
