Beautiful as always , Cany. I particularly like the simplicity of No 2 with only 1 tree bracketed by sparce bushes. Did this overall sharpness require focus stacking?

Think that I may have found the culprit. RAW Power has an update that speaks of a bug in in OS 13.1. which contains v 8.0 of photos that has to do with auto enhance in Photos App. The first thing that I do in Photos when I first open a photo is to do an auto enhance to compensate for the dulless of RAW straight out of camera. I downloaded the RAW Power update and found to my delight that I can now work with my photos in the PHOTOS APP.

Now my disgruntled question is: Why did a third party minor app apparently find it necessary to address the bug before Apple has even publicly acknowledged it?

Curious, what does OS 13.1 run on?

It is an Apple corp operating system that is for Macintosh. Supposedly it integrates very well with iPod, iPad, IPhone, I Watch , and probably other apple consumer products.

I does not , however seem to be fully integrated with all the component parts that it was a assembled from and which are downloaded and installed as a single unit. IE internal incompatabilities

After OS 13.1, my Photos APP (now v 8.0) has gone all wonky. Now i cannot use Luminar Neo or export the photos'' Here's an example soft focused screenshot of a tree. I cannot upload another example of the sharp version of the same photo that snapped into focus after I pressed the edit button. Maybe I can upload that sharp version in a separate post.

The top one. The bottom one is just another sunrise/sunset picture with no real subject/story. The top one tells a story of someone up and about in the blue hour in their cozy accommodations . Much more akin to the human element story you asked about.

No one lives back it anymore, the house gone and the barn barely standing.

The download is much sharper and contains more detail.

Did you notice the "bigfoot" peeking out near the bottom left corner? LOL

Hi Hogs, hope you can help. I have an Epson ET-4850 printer. I was printing off some Xmas photos and they all have a blueish cast to them. I cleaned the printhead and nozzles, it helped a bit. Is there something else I need to try? The pictures look great on my monitor. I'm trying to avoid sending out to a print shop if possible.

Thanks much in advance.

Are you perhaps using third party inks?

I am learning my R7 and was in search of something to shoot. Very cold and foggy this morning but I did find some color. The photo was softer than I wanted and would appreciate any suggestions. I hope I wasn't shaking due to the cold. I will increase shutter speed next go around and see if that helps.

Thank you,
Jim

Dear Jungle: Close ups in the near macro range are very difficult to get crisp. Was the camera on a tripod?. Was the subject moving imperceptibly in any breeze/ 1/250 sec at 70 mm f /4.0 is probably not good enough The depth of crisp focus is probably paper thin at that close up distance and especially 70 mm at f/4. Close ups at near macro are very hard to hold steady and even breathing can be enough to move the camera distance such that the subject is ouside the range of where the camera was sharply focused. Another possibility (however slight) other than operator error may be that your lens' design is not not optimized for f/4 macros. You can check this out by selecting a subject at least 5 feet away and F/5.6 to F/8 with camera on a sturdy tripod I'D GUESS THE 5 FT + IMAGE WILL BE QUITE SHARP.

Don't be too leery of sensor noise caused by too high ISO. A sharp but slightly noisy photo is probably preferable to a soft focused macro. I try to shoot all my hand held macros at no slower than 1/1000 and at least f/6.3 even if it means a high iso. (I have shaky hands though)

I've taken a screenshot of the exif values for your photo which I'll include below"

Mark, 'as an apple guy, I was surprised that no one had mentioned Apple's offering. hence my tongue in cheek sarcasm. Apparently my sarcasm was a bit too veiled. I'll have to do better (be more blatant) next time.

Unfortunately the timeline doesn't help for a long time. We'll likely be long gone.

Microsoft Windows 10 or Google?

I haven't had an urge or need to update to Windows11. Lately I've been using the Windows browser and liking its performance. This is after being a dedicated Google browser user for the last 10 years or so. Anyhow, what are your experiences and preferences?

Has anyone here heard of Safari?

I agree re:access. Getting in one has a gravity assist while one must fight gravity to get out. I did not know that Audi ever made a
v10 vehicle. Now they seem to be switching to zero cylinders (ie electric)
