Which is a better browser...
Microsoft Windows 10 or Google?
I haven't had an urge or need to update to Windows11. Lately I've been using the Windows browser and liking its performance. This is after being a dedicated Google browser user for the last 10 years or so. Anyhow, what are your experiences and preferences?
I use Firefox exclusively, so that's MY "better (preferred) browser".
But if I had to use a different browser, I'd probably go with Edge (The Windows browser).

Edge for browser, but Google for search (if you can deal with their knowing EVERYTHING about you). It's much better performance wise than any I've ever tried, some of which never seem to get to results, just more and more searches!

By Windows 10 I take it you refer to the Microsoft Edge browser?
I do have Microsoft 11 and use Chrome as a browser, been using it for years.

Me too. I have never used any Microsoft browsers. I have used Firefox for over 20 years and have never had any problems with it.
I do use Microsoft Explorer for my emails, I have been using it for about 20 years also.
will

Probably should have stated it better...mostly what I'm interested in is the Edge search engine as I use Google a lot for searches and am always impressed with the speed and amount of info they come up with. I've been trying Edge on a laptop and have had good results so was thinking it had caught up with Google for speed and info...is this not the case??
Thanks for your answers Bill...appreciate!!

Oops, since I don't use Edge, I wasn't aware it had its own search engine.
For searches I primarily use Google, sometimes Duck-Duck-Go, but Google usually returns more results.
Norton even has its own <safe> search engine, which I usually don't use either, but have on occasion.

Windows 10 is an operating system (OS), Google is a search engine, Google Chrome is a browser.
Yes, confusers, they be confusing with all these names, types of apps etc.
Why can't they be like the computers in the various Star Trek shows, just talk to it and wait for the answer. Or when you are bored have a conversation with it. I'm sure the computer knows all the best gossip.

Alexa, ......
I have heard Alexa referred to as an old time stereotypical dumb blond. On steroids.
I also use Firefox most of the time.
On rare occasions I use M'soft Edge.
I also have Google Chrome installed and very rarely use it. But I don't like that Google tracks everything you do and sells your data. I have nothing to hide, but don't like being deluged with ads and spam. (I get plenty of each anyway!
) I am pretty certain M'soft tracks users to some extent, too.
The only thing I don't like about Firefox is the incessant updates! I'm on version 107.x.x now. I think I started using it around version 30.x.x.
I've recently installed Duck Duck Go on my phone, but haven't installed it on my desktop or laptop yet. I've only used it a little.
Most often I'll use the browsers other than Firefox to check webpage compatibility, the appearance of uploaded images, etc. Things can be displayed quite differently, one browser to another.

Edge defaults to Bing for searches. You can set it to use Google but only if you type the search in the address bar. The search block on the page always uses Bing.
