I really have - and continue to - enjoy your series. Wonderful shots of a different culture. Please keep them coming.

Thanks. Please see my earlier posting a few messages higher.

If you are going to print a really large picture you might want to try Topaz Gigapixel, which does allow free trial downloads.

Or, sharpen a picture in Sharpen AI and then crop it heavily and print only a small part of the frame.

Well, the OP is not having much luck that way so I'd say it is worth a try.

I'd try doing all your edits in PS and THEN applying Sharpen AI to the exported result. I would use Sharpen AI as a stand alone program to make sure PS doesn't try to sabotage the result.

Full disclosure - I do not use PS and never will. But the results I get with Sharpen AI blow me away.

Wow! She already has a great eye for an image. I'm definitely jealous. She is already better than I am!

And of course she is starting with a fine camera. But even so - what great work!

Congrats to both she and you.

Yes, it is stabilized. When mounted to the A6500, the stabilizations of each talk to each other and the combination is optimized.

I could not be happier with mine. There are a lot of zoom lenses out there that are pretty good at the short end but fall off badly at the long end. But that's what I wanted it for - and it does not disappoint in the least. VERY sharp all the way through the range.

Amen Brother! I am 77. Last fall I bought the Sony 70 - 350 zoom for APS-C and it is marvelous what I can do hand held at 350 mm. I do use an ISO of around 1200, and afterwards I use Topaz Sharpen AI and Topaz Denoise AI and get unbelievable results.

Reference the Olympus - it is advertised as being one stop better than the Sony A6500 - but the main reason for that is the smaller sensor. It is easier to move around. And the camera stabilization is definitely superior to the lens stabilization of most any lens. And when you use both a Sony stabilized camera AND a stabilized lens you have a great combination for those of us that are not 25 any more.

I agree. I use an A6500 and love it. The image stabilization is terrific, and if you are going to use longer lenses for wild life you will really want that feature, even if the lens is also stabilized. You don't get the newest focusing stuff, like eye focus, but in every other respect you give up very little compared to buying an A6600.

Thanks - but my ATV is a side-by-side two seater. The seat has a back. It is a Polaris Ranger XP900.

I have a Polaris Ranger 900 side by side with roof and windshield and I love it! It as about 75% as much fun as my Cessna was, until I lost my medical. It costs about 80% less a year to operate, and I can walk to my garage instead of driving to my hangar. It takes me to beautiful places.

But I don't have a good solution to carry camera gear except a bag on the floor or in the back. Recommendations there will be welcomed!

Cheers

It was so cold in Chicago one day last winter that the aldermen had to keep their hands in their own pockets.
