I am giggly happy with my new D750. I don’t baby my equipment when traveling, as I prefer to have it ready to use. This being my first screen backed camera, I began to wonder about wear to the screen that is rubbing my side when not in use. I’d hate to realize I needlessly destroyed the screen a couple years from now. I am looking for thoughts and/or recommendations about screen protectors. Or am I worrying about a non-existent problem.

If we all liked the same thing....We would all be looking at the same photos. Make a color print for where ever she wants to enjoy it and enjoy your print. Both are awesome.

My photo skills are in the upper basic level and I’m working on that. I purchased my D750 for its full frame capabilities and wanted a camera that was a little more beefy (battery door, etc) than the entry level models.

I often hear my D750 referred to a a great wedding camera. Other posts talk about switching to their D850 for other type shots. Can someone, without getting overly technical, describe which of the most common cameras do best in certain situations.

I am totally happy with my D750 and learn something new almost every time I shoot. This is just a curiosity question for me, that might help someone else choosing a camera.

Attached is a shot I am particularly proud of.

I use a Nikon ML-L3 with my D750 and it works great. I made one modification that I am surprised they don’t offer. I epoxied a loop on my remote and added a lanyard. Sometimes I hang it around my neck aid sometimes loop it to my belt and keep the remote in my pocket. Makes for easy access and I haven’t lost it yet.

Jackponoh was right on target. I would also suggest checking the histograms on your test pics to make sure you are well exposed. If you have not used histograms there are great Youtubes that explain setting up your camera and reading the histograms. The basics are pretty easy to digest but the advanced use is above my pay grade. If you are using you max lens, don’t forget your tripod, set the camera on infinity and set it for rapid fire. Best of luck.

Blenheim Orange is spot on. I have 7 bullet holes in me from Vietnam and was a police officer for 28 years, so don’t preach politics to me, conservative or liberal. This website has been a pleasant reprieve from the CNN-FOX junk and I hope it stays that way.

I have succumbed to using cloud storage and have been happily surprised about its ease and many uses. I use Google but am sure many of the other services are equally effective. Too many advantages to mention. If concerned about large file download time, the file initially loads on the computer you are using, then migrates to the cloud. Once downloaded you have your file plus a backup. If using multiple computers, that file downloads to each authorized computer for instant use.

I’m doing night shots with my newly acquired Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.4G Lens on my D750. Trying to get the lights to Star I wanted to go high on my f-stop readings but my camera will not let me go tighter than f-16. I can get smaller apetures with other lenses. Is it me, my lens or camera blocking smaller apetures with this lens?
I couldn’t delete my question but found my answer. f-16 is the minimum aperture for this lens. I need to read the fine print. Maybe this will help someone else.

I have a black lab and could never get more than a black blob until I started shooting in RAW and checking my histograms to ensure I could get the detail I long sought.

Drive inland and take an eco tour in the St Johns River (https://stjohnsriverecotours.com/). Bring your longest reaching lens and get there early for a front row seat. Rain or shine, you will not be disappointed.
