Stark, but somehow beautiful.

I noticed the last few days that I got only one or two pieces of junk mail in the junk mail folder. I got all the usual mail, including of course, a couple of bills. On the internet today I found a couple of sites where this topic was discussed, but they were years ago.
I'm not complaining, just wondering if anyone else noticed this.

Bill, I must be getting yours along with mine.
In particular I have been getting "opournities" to take a quick survey and then qualify for one of a choice of items for only a small postage. The items and cost are inviting, however I haven't taken the bait. Just wondering if others are receiving similar email offers and any outcome.

Gee, I was sure it would be a joke-cracking leprechaun!
Oh, wait. That would be a little Irish humorist!

Thanks for commenting. I'm glad we got the difference settled.

Didn't know that. Thanks for the info.

So riddle me this ---
What is it Irish and sits in your back yard???
Paddy O'Furniture!
It's a wee bit funnier if you have had a cool one or two, or three.

Beautiful picture, great view. We enjoyed the park when we lived in DeQueen back in the late 70s.

Good looking dogs. The one on the right reminded me of Max, a big black Lab we rescued years ago.
We took him out in the back yard when we brought him home and he immediately went over the four foot fence into the field behind us.
So I installed an electric fence along the top and another about a foot off the ground.
Later, when it was finished we let him out without a leash and he headed for the fence again and when he hit the wire he fell back, shook himself off and never tried to jump the fence again.
For the rest of his life there was no power on the fences and he never tested them again.
He was truly a joy to have as a member of our family.
And they aren't green either.

Beautiful country, extraordinary pictures. Typical Central Texas weather here, cold one day, warm the next. If you don't like today's weather, just wait. Middle 80s today. Time to go kill some weeds. Enjoyed your pictures, beautiful country,

Your list is spot on.
I was doing fine reading your list until Number 10. Molly, our rescue of almost 15 years crossed over the Rainbow Bridge recently. Yes, I was with her as she crossed.
She was my buddy, and I was her main human. No matter where I was in the house she was with me and took me for a walk around the neighborhood every day.
We all miss her so......
Thanks again for your list.

Great "Golden Oldie", always good for a laugh.

Good morning Gene,
Good one!
I spent a few years in the late 60's and early 70's really engaged in the, then somewhat new, sport(?) of Skydiving. Wonderful (occasionally somewhat non-wonderful) experiences (just a little over 3500 jumps) when the only readily available equipment was military surplus - which meant canopies with a diameter of only 28' (the reserve canopy was only 24') and each and every landing being "interesting" and usually quite hard. Shortly before I gave it up (I just didn't want to spend a big part of my college years in plaster casts) newer type 'chutes arrived which actually made stand-up landings possible for the first time - which made a world of difference in really enjoying the sport.
Sorry, just a bit off topic there.
Anyway, I was going to ask - Was the new jumper a blonde?
I know - politically incorrect - but I loved it
All the best to you and yours,
Terry

Glad you enjoyed the "little bit of humor". Being in Texas and having a son who is a Texas A&M grad, we would ask "was she a University of Texas grad?"
