I grew up in New Smyrna Beach and still live close in Edgewater. The places listed are all great but also....
1. See the Sugar Mill Ruins at 600 Old Mission Road.
2. Sunrise pics on the ocean through the Sea Oats covered dunes at the Sapphire St. beach park.
3. Spruce Creek Park at 6259 S Ridgewood Ave Port Orange which is between Rose Bay and Strickland Bay and has gorgeous sunsets. It is on the west side of US1 (aka Ridgewood) heading north from New Smyrna. The entire area is a beautiful wetland estuary.
4. Tomoka State Park at 2099 N Beach St in Ormond (about 35 minutes from NSB) with beautiful 300 year old Live Oaks, trails, and nice scenery.
5. Ponce de Leon Light House & Museum at 4931 S Peninsula Dr, Ponce Inlet gives you a spectacular panoramic view of the area especially the north side of the inlet.
6. Old Fort at 115 Julia St, New Smyrna Beach (by the yacht basin on the Indian River (Intercoastal Waterway). This predates St. Augustine but unlime St. Augustine it was not continuously populated.
7. If you like street photography there is also Flagler Ave. on the beachside and Canal St. On the mainland which are both historic streets to varying degrees.
There are more but these are the main places. Just let me know if you want more info.

Did you recently clean the sensor? I had this problem on my Pentax K3-ii. My sunrise pics had those same spots especially visible in the blue areas. I was worried that my sensor was going bad since the spots looked bigger than what dust would create. Then I remembered that I had just cleaned the sensor. I cleaned it again using less cleaning solution and they went away. This meant that I must have used more cleaning solution than the swab could pick up and those dried as water spots.

quote=MauiMoto]My first thought was that it looks like ghost turds on my sensor since they are all in the same spots in several photos, only the opacity changes depending the light. However they are not on photos taken with different lenses so I'm guessing it's the lens but the lens looks clean, the image is cropped so the spots are actually smaller. This image was taken with the sun in front of the camera. when i look through the lens with a light in front, see a bunch of specks that look like haze but this is a brand new 150-600mm G2 thats only been out in the heat a few times.. Does anyone have some insight into this issue?[/quote]

I was looking into either the Pluto or Miops and while the Miops looks well made it is considerably more costly in the main unit as well as accessories. I contacted Pluto Trigger and they now have made available for only $10 a battery replacement kit that includes the outer shell and screws. That was the final issue holding me back as the Miops had replaceable batteries. I will be ordering the Pluto soon. I don't think you can go wrong for the money.

I have a Pentax K-3 II and its built-in GPS works great for me. I keep it on and when I get home I download the KML file which stores Latitude, Longitude, Altitude, Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), Direction. Import it into Google maps and viola! It gives me a complete mapping of my travels and a dot where I took every pic! The K-1 and K-1 ii both have the built in GPS also. I know that Nikon and Canon also have optional GPS geotagging attachments.

I am continually surprised by the lack of attention to Pentax! Go see Tony Northrup's review of the Pentax K7 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QIVfRji8JMM) which is a beast of a full frame camera with every menu command also adjustable from a dial or button on the camera. If you are looking at APS-C then the K-3II is am amazing camera (8 FPS!). Both of these give much more than their competitors for significantly less money including weather proofing, 100% pentaprism (rather than pentamirror) viewfinder, astrotracker, built-in HDR, Pixel Shift, in-camera shake reduction, and GPS with Geotracking (working with Google Maps!). Additionally, used lenses are copious and relatively cheap. FYI, I am not a brand groupie! I started many years ago with an Olympus OM-1 (film) that I just loved, and then a Canon AE1-P (film, I still have), and a Leicaflex (my sister broke-sad day). Do not follow anyone who every hints or says that anyone brand is "the" camera to get! Olympus, Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fuji, Panasonic, Pentax all make fantastic cameras but you have to know what you want to shoot and which camera offers you the best feature set and ergonomics for that type of shooting. If you are unsure go to YouTube and watch a lot of Tony and Chelsea Northrup's videos and get their "DSLR Book: How to Create Stunning Digital Photography" which covers almost any kind of photography. Also look at DxoMark and Dpreview which cuts through the hype and gives you real comparative numbers. That all being said, the old adage that says its not the camera but the photographer has a lot of truth to it! None of these camera's feature sets are only as good as you are at understanding how light works in the environment and how well you can master perspective and composition.
I am currently a Pentax K-3ii shooter and probably will get the K-7 soon as it is according to Northrup the best nature camera out there. However, you can hand me a Canon, Nikon, Panasonic, or Olympus I would be happy to click away. Money not being an object, I would certainly consider the Sony A9 as the ultimate dream camera! The Sony A7 series is also sweet and worthy to consider. Don't hem yourself in to Canon or Nikon unless the feature set and ergonomics you need is there! I was leaning towards the Nikon D5500 but at the time it was much more expensive than the Pentax K-3ii and for my big hands the Nikon just was uncomfortable. The features of the K-3ii far surpassed the Nikon D5500 but if you spend much money more Nikon has cameras just as good if not better; that new Nikon D850 is just coming out and it is very nice but will be $3,249-$3,499 (depending upon the article)! Just know what you need and don't be a groupie!

Rongnongno is right... always download from the program vendor's own site....NEVER Sourceforge....they like to trick you into clicking on a installer package that has malware and/or spyware! My antivirus catches it but such a site should be seriously steered clear of. Here is Filezilla's page: https://filezilla-project.org. Filezilla has a great Session Manager (your FTP upload sites) and the ability to sync your computer's file directory with your website so that if you click on on lets say an Img directory in one side (e.g. your website) the other side will also open to view the files in its Img directory. Filezilla also can export its Site Manager entries to a file that can be imported to another install of Filezilla on another or a new computer! I write websites and only use Filezilla...it just works and the frequent updates tells me that they are keeping that program up to date! By the way, if you work with a lot of files between computers or other backup drives look at Scooter Software's Beyond Compare (https://www.scootersoftware.com). Been using that for years and it just can't be beat to update backups or even online storage (it also compares any two files contents-good for programmers).
Lastly, if you store a lot of images on your hard drives a neat and free (for home use) bulk renaming utility (http://www.bulkrenameutility.co.uk/Main_Intro.php) makes customizing an entire folder's file names a breeze! So instead of images that look like: img_7213.dng, img_7214.dng, img_7215, they can look like: cades_cove-8-23-17_(1), cades_cove-8-23-17_(2), cades_cove8-23-17_(3) etc. The interface is great and will show you what the filename looks like as you tweak the individual settings. Try it out. I have included an image of the utility.
