Is my iPhone 5s too old and subpar to talk to my D500? I have no success following the instructions. It would be nice to use this but not a real tragedy for me.

I like this image but I am most curious about those tiny frames on the wall. Do they contain tiny photographs of days past?
I love my D3. It's a hefty thing but image quality is outstanding. I don't see how anyone could consider purchasing a good camera as going backward. No video or Bluetooth but I don't need that. Plus, I am able to use all my good FX lens from my FM2 days in addition to newer ones I use on my DF.
I also use an F5 and Leica M3 occasionally, antiques by most standards, but I was tickled to get them and they still produce fine images.
I say learn all you can about it and enjoy your D3.
