I haven't scored a run for some time...
I just read dsnoke's contribution and it is a good idea, but, I'm sure neither Gardiner nor West has rentals, also you can't get into the park from Gardiner unless you are with one of the Gardiner guide services. I know Bozeman Camera has rentals and I would think Jackson does as well.
I see you also do night photography, you will have wonderful opportunities to shoot MilkyWay with thermal feature foreground. Check out examples on Facebook's Yellowstone Through the Lens group.
Rent the Tamron. I would take a tripod but some people manage without the stability; practice I suppose. If you can, rent an 18 - 400 or 18 - 300 to use as your walk around lens.
Nice photos. I did that often. One correction: its an ARMY aircraft so it would be ARNG.
Terrific. #6 is the ultimate enarmoring grizzly photo; now we know why teddy bears are so popular.
Very nice photos and exhibit. Did you use histogram in preparation and ETTR?
It is rewarding, go for it Fran. And thank you.
Thanks Joe. I should have used a prime lens on them.
