It always puts me in a bad mood when responses on UHH resort to “Why don’t you just google it?” Which implies, “Why are you wasting our time?” I just thought the point of forums like this was to share, to question, and to teach. Oh, and to communicate with humans rather than algorithms.

I just got the LUMIX zs70 and loved it for the first 4 days, until the zoom and af stopped working. Great little camera, but for the price, it should last at least a week. I’ll return it to Adorama when I get home from vacation, but I don’t know if it’s a lemon, or just an unreliable camera.

All of these positive comments made me salivate and I went on Adorama and ordered the ZS70 this afternoon. Just got an email that it will be delivered tomorrow. Adorama is amazing. I hope the camera is too. Just the size I need for trip to Morocco in November.

If it is offered by Adorama, I would trust it. That said, I seldom purchase warrantees, but tend to handle my gear more carefully than many others. /Ralph

Thanks. I usually bypass warranties also, but this is for a refurbished p600 and is so cheap that I wonder about it. And I'm also careful, but you never know. I had my a6000 in a waterproof box tied tightly on my kayak, when I flipped, the box hit a rock and goodbye camera.

Thanks again to all who responded. You have reminded me why I take pictures. Reading hedgehog every day made me think that I was missing out by not using my Sony to its full potential. Your comments and advice are so logical and I am going to charge my batteries, set it on auto, and move forward. And read the manual and recommended books. And ignore my frustration by focusing on one change at a time. Thanks for your advice and pep talks.

Not quite ready to sell. Still deciding. Sorry. I'll get back to you if I can ever make up my mind.

Thanks for your replies. Especially Cwilson. I love what my Sony can do on auto, but I often feel that I need to do more. I guess I'm really trying to impress myself, when I should just enjoy it for the hobby it is.

I started into photography late in life and I've tried to become adept at shooting manual, aperture, etc, but I am not quick enough to make adjustments on the fly and miss many shots. Plus, the Sony is so smart that auto beats my attempts 99% of the time. Am I alone in finding photography difficult?
I travel often and I think I would prefer a good bridge camera that is easier to pack and wouldn't make me feel like I'm driving a BMW in second gear when I shoot in auto.
So I'm thinking about selling my like-new Sony a6000 mirrorless, with 18-50 kit lens and 55-210 zoom. Is there interest and what would be a fair price? They're in perfect condition.
I've been looking at replacing it with the Panasonic fz-1000. I've read reviews and it's in my price range. Any comments?

I am thinking about selling my like-new Sony a6000 mirrorless, with 18-50 kit lens, 55-210 zoom and various extras (4 batteries, extra cables, etc.). All are approx 1 year old, with little use. Is there interest and what would be a fair price? They're in perfect condition. I travel often and would prefer a good bridge camera that is easier to pack and shoot. Will consider offers.

You should sell it quickly at that price. I used a similar Wolverine and loved it. Sold it after my slide conversions.

It really worked far better than I expected. It was really nice to see all these slides that had been sitting in a box for 20 years.
