As always, all your comments, views and criticisms are welcome ... and yes, it is a woman. A professional dancer, note the beautiful pointed toe.
For those of you who have responded to my previous postings, I'm sure you will know that I am not interested in producing images that are simply reflecting what the camera has seen (but I do appreciate other people's work). The camera for me, is a sketch book, and the images I capture create images in my minds eye. It's these images that I want to share ... my view of (predominantly) the female form.
I use about five different programs to achieve the end results, and I know not all of them are to everybody's taste - but it isn't praise I seek, it's simply sharing ... and if one makes you look twice at what you see ... then that's wonderful.

This is the "scent of a woman" she is not real just a memory.
Back to earth, you used hi key in camera or in post?? Tell us what to do to duplicate this effect with my 100 year old aunt.
Shot on a white background, but everything else is in post production
Just a hint of her presence ...
.... or sometimes, you just need to sit alone to catch the dying rays of the sun ..
More work with the synergy of figure and background
Trying to explore mood... and mystery ...

Hey George, I am beginning to really enjoy your work. This photo is very thought provoking. She looks like she is in deep thought, but about what? A lover who has left her? Maybe gone off to war? Or maybe she just has a very good experience and is thinking about it. With the darkness of the photo I would think she is thinking about a negative experience. Not being able to see her breasts and fanny allows the viewer to consider what she is thinking.
Hey, thanks photoman. I'm not sure that many people understand what I try to do. I don't want to simply click the camera .. I want to add something of 'me', a story ... something that makes you linger, and put your own interpretation on it.
Most of it is quite experimental, and some work better than others ... thanks for taking the time.
More exploration of figure and background as one
