I guess I'm just a sucker for GBs. Probably because they are so cooperative and easy to shoot. A lot easier than say a Bridled Titmouse flitting from branch to branch!

These are very beautiful photos, Dale, and very well done; lots of detail. My heart aches for so many homeless people. Can't understand why they don't find a shelter.

Thanks for looking Sailorsmom!

Idaho donated this year's Capitol Christmas tree. Idaho kids made all the decorations. Great shot of it!

It stopped by in Boise on its way. We got to sign the covering with our Christmas wishes.

The "National Christmas Tree" is over on the mall. If I must say so it doesn't measure up.

Whoops, I knew that. A couple of years ago it came from AZ and stopped here in Prescott, we did the same thing. Then I went back and got a photo of it in front of the Capitol. Thanks for the correction MtnMan.

Beautiful night shots of DC. I was there in the Spring of 2015. I shot only daylight photos. The awesome D500, using ISO from 5000-12,800, did excellent for those night shots. The Capitol Dome and the Washington Monument are my favorites.

Thanks Mas ... I was happy with the results. The Washington Monuments were shot at 12,800 (1/13 sec @ 5.6)

Beautiful shots Dale. I haven't been over there in years. Might have to take a run over this summer.

Our annual visit to our daughter, son-in-law and grand kids in DC. Not as warm as last year (70!) but no snow. Did come home to 10" here in Prescott!!! Some night images trying out higher ISOs (5000-12,800). Nikon D500, Nikkor 18-300 3.5-5.6, hand held. Used Topaz DeNoise and some tweaking in LR.

Very good shot. An exceptional set. Love the face of the eagle. So intent. Were you close to the lake? He/she appears to be looking for his/her next meal. Mahalo for sharing.

He/she was in a dead tree right beside the lake! Good hunting spot. Thanks.

This bird was probably checking you out as a source of a meal. Very nice capture.

This is an incredibly inappropriate and plain mean spirited comment. It was clear that he posted the photos as a means of being instructive and helpful and I for one appreciate that.

I agree! I read the comment and knew right away who sent it. I really don't understand the degree of negative comments seen on this site. No point in it for sure.

Wonderful shots! The eagle may have cooperated but the expression suggests it did not approve of your activity!

Thanks Carol ... I think you are right. Funny thing is that side of the lake has a paved path so lots of folks walking. I'll bet I watched 8 people walk right under and not even notice.
