Our annual visit to our daughter, son-in-law and grand kids in DC. Not as warm as last year (70!) but no snow. Did come home to 10" here in Prescott!!! Some night images trying out higher ISOs (5000-12,800). Nikon D500, Nikkor 18-300 3.5-5.6, hand held. Used Topaz DeNoise and some tweaking in LR.

Beautiful shots Dale. I haven't been over there in years. Might have to take a run over this summer.
Beautiful night shots of DC. I was there in the Spring of 2015. I shot only daylight photos. The awesome D500, using ISO from 5000-12,800, did excellent for those night shots. The Capitol Dome and the Washington Monument are my favorites.

Thanks Mas ... I was happy with the results. The Washington Monuments were shot at 12,800 (1/13 sec @ 5.6)

Beautiful photos - glad to see the dome without the scaffolding!
Idaho donated this year's Capitol Christmas tree. Idaho kids made all the decorations. Great shot of it!
It stopped by in Boise on its way. We got to sign the covering with our Christmas wishes.
The "National Christmas Tree" is over on the mall. If I must say so it doesn't measure up.
Beautiful ! All ready for the inauguration;)

Whoops, I knew that. A couple of years ago it came from AZ and stopped here in Prescott, we did the same thing. Then I went back and got a photo of it in front of the Capitol. Thanks for the correction MtnMan.

Thanks. I hope that's not why they fixed it up :)
These are very beautiful photos, Dale, and very well done; lots of detail. My heart aches for so many homeless people. Can't understand why they don't find a shelter.

Government needs to spend its money bringing in Syrian refugees.
