According the Photoshop Elements

"The Unsharp Mask filter reproduces a traditional film technique used to sharpen edges in an image. The Unsharp Mask filter corrects blurring introduced during photographing, scanning, resampling, or printing. It is useful for images intended for both print and online viewing.
Unsharp Mask locates pixels that differ from surrounding pixels by the threshold you specify and increases the pixelsÂ’ contrast by the amount you specify. For neighboring pixels within the specified radius, the lighter pixels get lighter, and the darker pixels get darker."

Ouch, I bought my first one from Comboy for a little over $100, I don't think you can beat their prices. Are they the best, certainly not, but for home use they are more than enough. that is for use with speed lights but they have lighting as well.

Looking to purchase a Canon Factory Refurbished 7D from a local Authorized Canon Dealer. $350 under new. 90 day warranty. Never purchased refurbished before, so wondering if this is a good choice.

Something is not adding up for me. $350 for a refurbished 7D that is a very low price. In fact, so low I would buy it, sell it for 1100 and then go out and buy I new T4i.

Read it again and quit trying to be a trouble maker!!!!

Bob,
I purchased them on Amazon.com cameras, adapters etc. They run about $18-40. Some have glass in them some don't. Depending on the lens and its internal make-up, there can be some vignetting with some of them, tho not all. And do not overlook the Telescope 32mm to (Your Camera) adapter which enables your camera to be directly coupled to your telescope, If the telescope is capable of using eyepieces.
I use my Old Film Olympus and Old Canon lens the same way

Thanks I have minolta film camera with a bag full of lens from 16mm fishfeye to a 500mm mirror lens and thought Might be able to use some on my canon 40D just for fun.

Hello Silver,
If it is a good lens you can buy adapters to match it to your Nikon and get some good use from some good glass. Otherwise you can put it on E bay and see what happens. These adapters are readily available at Amazon.
I use all of my old Minolta lens on my T3i from 8mm to 400mm with converters. They are of course manuel focus and f stop.

When I first started in photography, the highest flash sync speed with a focal plane shutter was 1/60th, so count yourself lucky! (and I walked a mile to school, barefoot in the snow)

Here's another link to how focal plane shutters work with electronic flash:

Cameras like the Nikon D90, D7000, D300 and above have Auto FP sync, allowing you to use those shorter shutter speeds by pulsing the flash. Canon has models that do it as well, probably not the same name.

I have an Olympus Evolt E-520. When shooting pictures I see small particles in my viewfinder but it does not show up on my pictures. I have cleaned the camera and even took it in to a professional to have it cleaned but the particles are still there. I know they are on the internal pieces of the viefinder inside the body. Does anyonehave any advice on how to get them off? I have tried but the particles just move but not come out.

You can change your focus screen and that is not as expensive as you may think, I ordered new focus screens for my 50D directly from Canon and they cost something like $2.32 apiece. So I ordered a couple of extras. If you change your focus screen and still have the problem that is an indication that you have gotten your pentaprism dirty. On some cameras the penntaprism is a series of mirrors and on others it is a solid piece of glass, my recommendation is if it is the pentaprism that you learn to live with it or take it to a professional for evaluation.
