need to go back to school and learn this stuff This is some of what's being taught to your kids, etc. I'm sure when they graduate they will throw out the old math and use this in everyday living? Give me a break ! ! !

I have an iPhone because it is the only phone that runs the only photo app I use. That app has proven invaluable. Otherwise, I use my cameras for photographs and my iPhone for communication.

Hi Bob, which photo app do you use?

Ditto; great software and reasonably priced.

Very nice. I have a question (not a criticism, the image is beautiful); when I first looked at it, I thought the snow in the large flat areas looked grey, but then started thinking that it was reflecting blue from the sky. Am I correct?

Excellent work; very visually interesting. I love love love the moon shot with the birds!

I see you have shared many photos of bald eagles and egrets. There is a vocal contingent of folks on UHH who complain about all the bird photos posted here. Ironic?

Since you're relatively new, you may not have had a chance to check out all the features of the site, including "newest pictures" - a link accessible at the top of every page. Those thumbnail images will help you filter out any subjects not of interest. There are also many specialty forums where you will be unlikely to stumble upon moons or sunsets. Click on "all sections" at the bottom of the page to browse.

And lastly, consider hosting a discussion topic about how to make moon or sunset photos something other than "identical." Please join the small group who would like to see UHH be about learning/sharing/teaching/inspiring and don't align with the grumpy old folks who are here only to complain. Let's learn together!

I really like it. I was initially prepared to not be wowed and my eye was drawn to the top but then kept wandering down finding more and more little visual treats. To my own discredit, I might not have looked at the image carefully enough to appreciate it if not for the title. I've been enjoying your work and your efforts to help out the rest of us. Keep up the good work and best wishes for the coming year.

I have noticed that Sony cameras are much more expensive than what appears to be Panasonic near equivalents. For example, I purchased the Panasonic DMC-ZS100 for $497.99 while the similar appearing Sony DSC-RX100 VI is $1,198.

While the sale prices exaggerate the differences slightly, is there a good reason to pay so much more?

I own an RX100 iii and it is a superb small travel camera. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend any of the RX100 line. That being said, I recently dumped my Sony crop sensor camera for a Panasonic G9 and I love it. Really put the fun back in photography for me. If I was buying today for a travel camera, I'd get one of the Panasonic bridge cameras with a 1" sensor; not as small or pocketable, but - for me anyway - much easier and more fun to use. I did hang on to my RX100iii and will use it when very small size is a requirement; the IQ is simply superb given good light.

I've never used Libre Office, but after many years of MS Office I cut the cord and now use Googles Docs and Sheets; they do all I need and more. Totally free. I highly recommend them.

I love my G9; who cares what Tony Northrup and all the youtubers who piggy backed on his opinion think.
