Great shots. I also really like #2.
Wow! the detail in this bee is amazing.
Your dogwood pictures are beautiful; #4,#5 are my favorites.
The churches of the time were important for spiritual, social, and economic reasons. By the time I arrived at the churches the number of visitors to the Cove had increased to the point that it was a challenge to get photographs without people and cars.

Here are two more cabin photos that I took. To avoid getting people in the picture of the cabin I had to shoot from angles that I might not have. The cantilever Barn was located across from the cabin.

I only took the Canon 80D and an 18-135 lens. I have had this lens for awhile but had only made a few shots with it before the trip. This forced me to use the lens.
Nicely done. Thanks for sharing.
Always wanted to visit this place. I was able to spend a short time there over Easter. I only had about a half a day there as I was traveling with others. I could easily have spent a week there and not have had enough time to photograph all the things that wanted to photograph.

Worth getting up early for and you did a great job of capturing this beautiful scene.
I to have come in from shooting and loaded pictures to my computer and turned around and headed back out to shoot more pictures and got the message no card. On these occasions I was home and only had to come in and insert card and go back out. Then I read a suggestion from someone that has helped me a lot. He said that when removing a card for transferring pictures to the computer he never closes the door to the card slot compartment until he has inserted another card. When I see my camera sitting on the desk with the door open I am reminded to insert a card before closing the door an going back out to shoot.
Love this photo. Capturing the bee added to the interest of the photo. Great capture.

I bought a vello freewire from Amazon a few months ago. Has a range of up to 320 feet. Has done well so far. It was less than $40.00 at the time.

I took my 18-200 with me when we went. I also took a 24mm pancake lense for low light situations inside and out. Both are Canons. Served me well.
That's what I have taken both trips to the Outer Banks and to Pennsylvania. Never needed anything else.
The chef where we ate dinner suggested that we visit Howard street while we were on the Island. It is oldest settled part of the Island. The interested shaped branches of the old trees form a canopy over the street .
