Today I went to the Kinderdijk ( in the Netherlands )..
There we have 2 canals were the water is pumped in from the lowlands with the help of windmills.
This afternoon I went over there to make a few shots, hope you like em ..

Wow. I think I can track (on Google Maps) where the one set of pumps sends it to the sea (Nederwaard 1, 3, 5), but I get lost trying to figure where the other set pumps to.
That is an immense system of canals!!!

The windmills are still used, the main water works are provided by two diesel pumping stations near one of the entrances of the windmills site in the Kinderdijk.

Excellent images. I especially like the second one. The way the boat is framed by the 2 windmills is perfect. Thank you for posting.
