When I first started working in Yosemite, I was getting other trees mixed up for dogwoods. It turned out that I was just "Barking up the wrong tree"!
When I worked in Yosemite, we had 3 Memorial weekends in a row. I even remember one fourth of July getting snow over the Tioga Pass, which I believe is about eight or 9000 foot elevation.
They say if you do not like the weather in Yosemite, wait five minutes and it will change.
Many years ago my mom learned that a yardstick worked wonders on a long drive. And I soon learned that the rear of the station wagon we rode in was 37 inches away!
While my older brother and sister learned that they were only 18 inches away sitting in the back seat.
Unfortunately, the first thing they did was abolish the tram ride. So STUPID! We took full loads of 45 passengers at a time almost every time. And the average ticket price was about 25 bucks per person. Plus tips. I never knew a job could be so much fun until I started working there. Plus in my nine years there are lead about 4500 tou Plus you're in my nine years there are lead about 4500 tours, yet I found something new every tour.
I just retired from the Mariposa Grove three years ago where I was a tram driver/tour guide for nine incredible years. .
The sad part here is she will probably win a bunch of money.

When I was a kid, we had a Chihuahua mix that would protect my moms slippers wherever mom left them. I'm talking snarling, growling, teeth bearing bad ass. She would also sit in the chair across the table from mom and watch every move she'd make while playing solitaire.
It's the little ones that seem to be the bad asses.
I put mine in a neighbor who I don't like trash can.
I gave a buddy of mine a box of Tampons for a retirement party gift a few
years back. It was the hit of the party.
