I had my computer guy install an SSD because he said my HDD was the cause of my slow down of my computer. It was taking more than five minutes for my computer to boot up. He installed the HDD and now my computer boots up instantly. It takes 12 seconds for the first screen to come up and then as soon as I enter my passcode the computer boots up in less than one second!

I thought the answer would be more RAM. My computer guy really knows what he’s doing. He’s a guy in his 50s like me an old-school guy, an old timer who knows the old stuff and the new stuff. You wouldn’t believe how happy I am. Just wanted to share.

That's a lot of great information, thank you. I compared the 7000 with 7100 while searching, and while both are almost identical. The D7000 had one feature I really liked, dual SD card slots. For my intended use, 16 megapixels is more than enough, as is 39 focal points of which I only plan on using one. KEH has one right now for a very good price. There were a couple I looked at on eBay around the same price range, with serial numbers that put them at home here. The real upside of buying one used, I can splurge and get a new tripod, and a few spare SD cards.

The D7100 also has dual card slots. It's one he'll of a camera.

Took a two week tour of Israel in November. There were 4 of us on a private tour which gave us time to see numerous sites. There was never a concern about terror attacks and the Israeli people went about their daily lives. Here a some pictures. Canon 80D w/18-400 Tamron zoom lens and a Sigma 10-20 wide angle.

Wonderfully taken. Someday maybe if they find the fountain of youth.lol.

OK, it would not be a vacation without sunset shots. These were taken from the balcony of our time share in Ko Olina, Oahu. These are 2017 shots with a Nikon D80 and the kit 18-55 lens or a Nikkor 55-200 1.4 - 5.6 G lens. In editing, I notice that the Nikon produces a darker, more saturated picture than my Sony.

I also have a D80 and the colors from this camera are amazing, perhaps better than my D7100 or D750. Beautiful photos, thanks for taking me back home.

I have about 1000 photos I took on a 5000 mi trip to the southwest then back through the Rockies. I had a Kodak EasyShare digital camera that let you decide what size photos to take. I chose the smaller size so i could fit more on the memory card. So I have all these pics that are too small to make good prints, and not enough time to go back and retake them with my present camera.

Try Topaz A.I., Does a great job on resizing the photos.

I used Photoshop for many years until they decided to "rent" it out on a monthly basis. (Note: I prefer to purchase my software to the point that I don't have to pay a monthly fee -- like owning my own house vs. renting it.) I purchased Affinity when it first came out and find that it does everything I need it too. Sometimes it may take two or three steps more in Affinity than in photoshop but with the latest version it has shortened up to where you only have a single step. Note: I shoot raw all of the time and Affinity is able to convert it without any problems.

Affinity has also come out with a book explaining how to use its program and I found that it has shortened my learning curve on some features I very rarely use.
