Beautiful. Aluminum alloy engine was pretty advanced for those days. Thanks for sharing your photos of this elegant auto.

I'm 76 and I feel exactly the same way. Change is not always for the better!

I agree, I thought I was doing something wrong.

I have a friend who has a 1967 convertible that hi father bought it new. It was passed to my friends older brother, my friend acquired it three years ago. All in the family. They were/are beautiful machines.

for the reliability and durabilty, you can't beat a honda. for collection value i'd say corvette, and open air is always a good thing!

It true about Honda, the are pretty reliable, I had an Accord coupe that I loved. But there is something about cruising in your Corvette.

That's great. I have been thinking about trading up for a clean C7. My C6 has almost 130k happy miles on it. It still runs fine. Wishing you many happy miles in yours.

That's more like it. Subdued and classy. Not screaming, "look at me"!. Nice car Phred.

Thanks Papa. I have wanted one since 1957. I almost bought a 1971 but I was going back to school. I finally got mine in 2005. The mid 1970s and early 1980s were not the best years performance wise, but still Corvettes.

Brings back memories. We had 1959 Fairlane when I was a kid. My dad traded his 1958 Edsel for it on advice from his brother John. Uncle John was the drivetrain manager at the Ford assembly plant in Chester Pa. He told my dad they were probably going to stop making the Edsel. Thanks for posting.

They were beautiful cars. I had a burgundy '66 Galaxie 2 door coupe. I wish I still had it. I gave it to my mother with near 100,000 miles on it and she sold it to her mechanic in 1975 with almost 150,000 miles on it. A lot of good times in that car. I wish you good luck with your restoration.

The vulture photos are great. Natures cleaning crew and one of my top favorite birds. As interesting fact, their droppings are sterile. The birds on the wire are European Starlings according to my wife, my personal bird expert. The pumpkin flower is a spectacular shade of yellow. Thanks for sharing.
