It will be interesting to do the same picture with her 11yo brother when his turn comes. He has already read all three volumes of "Lord of the Rings" and is currently working through "The Silmarillion", a book I found to be a rather heavy read!

Yeah, definitely a "heavy read", even for an adult. At eleven, I wouldn't even attempt it.
I just finished the Lord of the Rings trilogy for the third or fourth time. It's amazing how my perspective has changed over the years.!!

It's a fantastic set of books - I used to read it on a yearly basis but got out of the habit. I read through it this summer and comparing it to the movie was very interesting. Also, reading "The Silmarillion" gave insight to both the book and movie I hadn't previously known. I bought my set 50 years ago and it is really showing its age!

Great shots Sue. I admit I'm a little surprised that you smoke a pipe. By the way, those glasses really need cleaning

Quite an eclectic collection. She has a few by one of my favorite authors, C.S. Lewis. You should be very proud of her.
