One option - transfer iPhone pics from the Camera Roll to Lr Mobile and auto-sync to Lr Album (desktop)
https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-cc/using/import-mobile-ios.html
Has Adobe updated their mobile Lightroom app to allow capturing DNG at 48 Megapixel.
Assuming 'No' (quickly searching the web - found little) ... is there any way to capture a 48 megapixel on the iPhone and them move it/transfer it directly on the phone's mobile Lr app so it syncs to the web automatically?
Thanks
I'm aware of several ways to 'bring' photos from iPhone into Lr Classic. Right now I have settled on AirDrop iPhone to Mac. My process is
1. select iPhone images and select AirDrop to the download folder
2. on Mac - select all images and drag them to a folder in Pictures>Transfer (where all my new imported photos reside)
3. I now import those images by selecting Synchronize Folder and 'Add' them to Lr
4. I vet those photos and PP ... exporting the Jpegs to a folder on Desktop for sharing
Right or wrong this works but seems overly 'manual'
Please rip it apart and suggest options
Thanks
I would like to minimize my personal email inbox.
In doing so I want to reduce daily mail and grab control without losing the content of UHH.
I would like to view each day's Main Photography Discussion weekly.
Will accessing Newest Topics 'each week - once a week' allow me to see/comment on all topics I typically view via UHH email where they provide Main Discussion?
Thanks

Great idea for pictures, but is that much expense worth it for a school trip? Also, have you ever used a phone overseas? It isn't free. In fact, a typical 15 year old could run up some very high international roaming charges. Likewise, would you buy a high end point and shoot like a Sony for a school trip. I'd look at the used market for cameras only a few years old. Others can make specific recommendations.
I was immediately for the iPhone BUT your advise is wise ...
1. $$$ for a 15-year-old
2. surprises for roaming - 2 days in Canada on our way to Alaska = $45 of surprise roaming charges (and I thought we shut it off)
3. you could buy a Lumix - small, zoom, water resistant $180 (sorry for long link)

Followup ... from their site ...
Store your photos
With our free 5 GB plan you can store 2,500 photos.1 With a Microsoft 365 subscription you get 1 TB of storage which is enough to hold 500,000 photos.1

One Drive is free if the total size of all images is less than 50Gb.
Is that 50GB or 5GB ... checking their site storage up to 5 GB is free
Check these out ... some have been mentioned
Flickr - 1,000 image limit
500px - 21 uploads a week and no limit on the quantity I know of
Google Photos - essentially unlimited - I keep shared photos to 680 and 1040 pixels
Amazon Prime photos - I think this works but I am exploring
Adobe ... I have used Spark and Portfolio in the past - not recently

Understanding CHG-CANON's suggestion to utilize fully the Lr Collections tool and move to a simple YYYY / YYYYMMYY-Topic "folder structure", a question ...
I have only used Collections 'sparingly' yet know it appears to be the Lr primary organization tool (since Collections tool exists in Library and Develop). I see that I can drag a folder to Collections and Lr automatically creates the collection ... can you suggest how to simply (I hope) move the original images to YYY/YYYYMMYY .using the 'Date Time Original' info in metadata since I assume that data is fixed and unchangeable?
To avoid a mess - should I first drag all or some of the location folder(s) to Collections AND THEN use this approach by Lightroom Queen?

Be careful Thunderbolt USB-C is not the same. Why? That's what I bought originally and it just don't fit. Maybe your Thunderbolt 2 is different (lol)
My read was he wanted a USB-A to Thunderbolt 2... as I did

I have a CF-Express Sony Card Reader which is USB-C. My 2015 MBP has USB-A and Thunderbolt ports. Does anyone know if there is an adaptor/dongle to make the connection?
Even Apple support rep suggested/offered that a USB-C is the same as Thunderbolt 2 ... WRONG!
A second call found a rep who said "Apple does not provide them anymore - none in store"
Here is the option ...

Thoughts, not recommendations for sharing:
.. Flickr allows 1,000 images free - do you more than 1,000 'gems' - I don't
.. 500px allows unlimited free but only 7 pics a week (use separate email addresses for collections)
.. Amazon Prime (we all have Amazon I thought) unlimited
.. Google Photos (I export at 1048) to share and create albums
.. Adobe Spark, My Portfolio, and web for the sharing
.. Backup - Cloud backup, 2 external drives, Amazon Prime
