Thanks Duane13. I wasn't considering HDR at all since it is something I never tried.
Whenever I read about bracketing, it always seems to pertain to aperture. Is there any reason why one couldn't bracket by using shutter speed?
In addition to Saturdays, B&H is closed on Friday starting in the late afternoon. Check their schedule.
I have to agree with most of the responders - B&H without a doubt. Enjoy it and enjoy NYC one of my favorite places in the world.
It looks like you are pretty well covered with the three lenses you have. Do you have a good tripod? It would be a valuable piece of equipment for shooting landscapes and wildlife. Enjoy your trips.
Great advice kurtismayfield. My wife is pretty patient with my lens changing when we go on day trips, but after two weeks she might be ready to leave me behind to fend for myself.
Hi Festive 50. I like it very much. I am still learning digital and know that I am not using 90% of its bell and whistles and probably never will use all of them. I was looking at the 3200 first but didn't like its "feel." It was too small. May I suggest that you do a comparison of the specs and see which would fit your needs better. Then, if you can, go to the store and hold the two of them. Try them with multiple lenses. Good Luck.
Thanks for the recommendation about the vest, although you bring up an important point. I lose things when I put them in my two pants pockets. More pockets...yikes!
Thanks for the strap suggestion SteveR. I just mentioned your other idea to my wife who blithely responded, "Oh Great! More pressure!"
Yes. I have pretty much made up my mind to take these three.
Thanks
Another interesting suggestion. I'll look into it.
I know that this would happen to me as well. Since the 18-300 cover all that the 16-85 does (with a slight exception at the wide end) it makes sense to bring it.
Thanks Robeng. I am really looking forward to it and have to remember to step away from the camera at times.
