I do appreciate the civility of your comments, (sounds like you used to be a republican) most idiots here think bashing your ideological opponents is an acceptable substitute for reasoned discussion.
I submit to you that it is the Democrat party that has moved to the left. Consider the difference between President John F. Kennedy, and his younger brother, Sen. Edward Kennedy. JFK was for lower federal tax rates, strong military and he was pro life. All things that Teddy was against.
It is my contention that the "establishment" republicans have followed the Democrats to the left, (or have been pulled by them), thinking they needed to be only a little to the right of them. The new conservatives are rebelling against the "establishment" because they are becoming like old school democrats. George W. was less of a fiscal conservative that Bill Clinton.
