These are Chinese geese or Huoyan geese. There domestic bred for food.

Great shots, are these hand held or with a monopod/tripod?

Very nice shot Dickerst. I just love to watch and listen to Robins. Being on the ground and in that posture, I'm surprised he doesn't have a worm in his mouth. :)

Thanks, I think he just swallowed it before I took the shot.

The Robins have been around here a lot more recently than in past years.

These are great images ... I prefer sunsets ... sunrises require I be up and wide-eyed too early in the day ... I'm 85, so my speed limit is almost self-imposed. Keep up the good work !

Thanks Lloyd

One thing we have plenty of are sunrises and sunsets. Here are a couple of examples of our sunrises.

I'm becoming more and more interested in this smaller gear....with specific interest in the Canon EOS-M. Anyone here with "M" experience? If so, I'd like to hear just what you think about it.

But not holding my breath; as I feel that UHH fans are not too hot about mirrorless gear. (And that's OK.)

Thanks. Bob

I have the Sony Nex5 and am very pleased with it. It's a lot easier to carry around than my Canon 7D and has the same sensor size. Here is a comparison of the two.
