[quote=Manglesphoto]I have a new monitor coming from B&H due to arrive yesterday. Note says I may have to sign for the package
Carrier: FedX, usually arrives a bit after 3:00PM never knocks on the door,
UPS Still knocks on my door. FedEx never has, ever. On-time delivery has gone out the door with both UPS and FedEx. USPS is abismal. In the last 6 months, USPS has lost 10 packages, delayed another 4 or 5. I use "Informed Delivery" for USPS and it is not very accurate. On 4 occasions an the last 5 months an item was listed as out for delivery by 8PM on a Friday. On Monday the item was in Texas, 1500 miles away. Go figure?
Interesting video. However the IOS photo app she uses is quite expensive.
$9.99 per month or $79.99 per year.
"...just explaining my thoughts"
This responce applies to all that ask this question.
In my opinion, if you have to ask this question, you probably haven't used your gear enough to answer it yourself.
So it probably doesn't matter what you take.

Your transfer speeds are maxed by your ISP. Checking you actual speeds depends on the server. Most speed checks will give you options to what server you wish to connect, like NYC, Morgan WV, and so on. Lots of things factor into real modem speeds. I always check a number of speed check sites and record them on a spread sheet for past 10 years. Xfinity is my provider and I pay extra for high speeds, but have planned on paying less for slower speeds. I want the slowest speeds at the cheapest cost that will not, or rarely affect my transfer speeds. Right now I think I'm paying for speeds I don't need. I figure I can always call them and raise it if it causes a problem. I generally have a lot of devices connected at the same time.

I agree. I was paying for GB speed. My providers cost was going to increase substantially (Internet and TV). The provider said unless you are streaming a lot of movies or playing a lot of online games, GB speed is a waist of money.
If I was that concerned that my camera could be stolen, I wouldn't even take it on the trip!
Totally out of focus photos of gear trying to be sold in the Classified section. Geez!

An observation here, as I have no add-on handgrips on my cameras. Like many photographers out there, I am right-handed. So if we are able to spin dials, turn knobs and reset buttons easier with our right dominant hands, why is that hand tied up grabbing the grip? Wouldn't it make sense for manufacturers to offer an add-on hand grip that attaches to the left side of the camera instead? You can now hold the camera with your left hand instead, and make all
your adjustments with your dominant right hand.

About 10% of the worlds population is left-handed. Not much of an incentive. Most left-handers have adapted to living in a high-handed world.
I'm not so concerned about the slowness of the backup, I can live with that. I'm concerned about how slow my computer is running, even when the backup is turned off.
I am an Amazon Prime member for years. So I thought I would take advantage of Amazons free to Prime members photo storage. Has taken 5 days to backup my photos to Amazon's cloud. (It's still at only 95%) so I pause the backup.
Here's the issue: even with the backup paused my internet connection has slowed to a snails pace. It reminds me of in the past when you could watch a picture scrolling slowly open to be completed.
Has anyone experience this issue? I'm serioiusly thinking of uninstalling the Amazon Photos program.

A firmware upgrade is not a hardware upgrade. Putting a modern engine in a 1950's car does not make it the same as a modern car.
Exactly! It seems the type of firmware upgrade mentioned would be beyond the hardware capabilities of all but the most recent iteration of the camera.

Yes, and the vast majority of the posts are crap. The administrators need to monitor his junk more closely.
I can, why did you even post it!!
