need suggestion's for background color
I would suggest using a neutral color for a background such as a light beige or a light tan. Even an off white would work.

Help for photo contest
Photos are very good. IMHO however, 1 & 2 are to centered. Number 1 (love the blurred background by the way)BUT numbers 1 & 2 should include more of the direction in which the Ibis is going to help tell a story.
