I made this trip on a river cruise and spent another three days in Paris. Using a full frame sensor Canon 5D III I used the 24-105 99% of the time, and usually at the wide end. I used a 70-300 for one shot. I wish I had brought my 17-40 for church interiors. I shot "tourist" shots of scenes, buildings and interiors and just a few of people. I also brought a tripod, ND filter, circular polarizer and flash. I never used them. I had planned to do night shots in Paris with tripod but was too tired in the evening. It is a great trip and very moving in Normandy and the American Cemetery.
Apple Care is even better than one to one. You can call any time from any where and get the answers. Plus, they will share your screen with you (with your permission) to make any adjustments/fixes needed. Any subject any time. No appointment! I have used it often. Well worth the price.
Dramatic. Seen in a "different light".
Great color against the dark background!!!!
You can micro adjust with this body and the 5D III. I use Lens Align. You micro adjust at the long end and short end of the zoom length. I have also micro adjusted in the field by looking at the image. Just remember to SAVE the adjustment you make.
Hi Regis,
Do you see a difference between Canon 1.4 II and III ?
Test numbers, aside; It really comes down to "how does it look". Are you happy with the results ?
I, personally, like #1 better than #2. However a compromise would really resonate with me.
I love your work. Cheers, and thanks for your input and stellar posts.
Lovely light and composition.
You are multi talented, my friend. Great color and composition.
Love #4 & #5 especially. Great shots, Greg.
