Starting with lenses:

EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro USM - a 'DX' style lens specifically for her EOS Rebel
EF 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro
EF 100mm f/2.8L IS USM Macro
EF 180mm f/3.5L USM Macro
Tamron 90mm f/2.8 Di VC USD Macro

If she has a tripod, the non IS lenses make sense, but all the options are relatively expensive, even shopping used. She might start into macro using her existing lenses, especially the longer zoom, with an extension tube (Extension Tube EF 25 II) that allows her to focus, retaining AF, at close 'macro distances'.

I second your suggestion to start her on inexpensive extension tubes. They are inexpensive and will take advantage of her existing lenses. She will have the same learning experience as a dedicated macro with little to no degradation in image quality.

I made the switch to Sony a few years ago and sold all but 3 lenses and a flash. I'll include pictures and prices for these two lenses and flash. I accept PayPal in continental USA only. The 3rd lens is a Sigma 135mm f/1.8 (for Nikon) which I will be selling as soon as the Sony 135 GM becomes available. I also have a Commlite mount adapter from Nikon F-mount to Sony E-mount (which will be listed with the 135 mm lens). Listed separately is a brand new Peak Design 3 L sling bag.

PM if interested. Thank you.

Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8 - $1500
Nikon 70-300mm f/4.5=5.6 - $260
Nikon SB500 Flash - $150

NOTE that the Nikon 24-70 f/1.8 as listed is incorrect. It should read f'2.8 as corrected above.

Notice the monofilament fishing line hanging on the near by branches . . !
The managers for this small lake spot waste receptacles noted for disposal of fishing line as a means for protecting the wild life.
Yet this situation continues unabated.

Look carefully at the GBH with the fish and see my concern.
I went back to remove the line once I had processed the image only to find it gone. What is the probability that a human spotted it and removed it in the intervening two hours?
Hopefully the GBH didn't have issues beyond fish bones!

Are both of the lenses full frame?

A simple search online will answer you question. . . . both are full frame lenses!

I made the move several years ago and have looked back.
No issues in moving my LR database files and images.
As stated above the images are universal and will work on both OS's.

The really easy way to make the transition is to move the entire PC based "PICTURES" folder from your PC to your MAC in the very same location that was created by LR when you install it on your MAC. Move is the wrong term .. . . you need to replace the MAC "pictures" folder with the entire PC "pictures" folder. That's it nothing else to do other than point your MAC based LR to the catalog and boot on.

BTW . . the above Mac mini is more than likely NOT a M1 based unit as it would seem to have been sitting around unused for a while.

Good luck and you'll love the new MINI and the MAC experience.

I think that the above responders have failed to notice that he is not trying to sell chemically processed analog paper; but currently manufactured ink based Canon printing paper.

Please do bother to check what you are responding to before posting a response.

The OP is really selling useful printing paper for the current Pixma color ink printers at a fair price.

Good luck.

I agree with the responder who recommended looking for the head to use with your monopod as being the most important choice that you need to make.
I started with a ball head camera mount on my monopod and it wasn't acceptable at all. the sidewise motion was a distraction and was not useful !
I have since replaced it with a two-way only mount that works like a champ.

take a look at the Sirui L-10 L10 Tilt Head Pro Two-dimensional HeadsWith TY-60 Quick Release Plate. It is very substantial and works well with heavy camera and lenses.

As for the monopod get a nice light graphite one for about $120. Benro makes them and they are still well respected.

You'll hear this from many hoggers as well as me...when you buy a refurbished (by Nikon) product you'll be getting a product that has been completely inspected and brought to the exacting specs of a brand new item. I always look for a refurbished camera or lens from Nikon and know that I'll be getting a good as new item. I've made many refurb purchases from Nikon and NEVER been disappointed. I would recommend that you buy refurbished and put the money that you save toward a new lens or something else. Good luck.

Totally agree. I buy refurbed equipment from Nikon and get what amounts to a new camera.

If this were mine to play with, I'd think about dropping the train stop shed and going with the right hand image of. the train itself.
I find the shed is too strong a compositional element and is totally dominating the overall image.

The train and tracks form a great leading line composition that really does show off the on rushing train and its column of steam.

I vote D500 with an extension tube or high quality 2 element close up lens for the 70-200 .....
.

exactly the answer that I'd have put forward!
I use extension tubes on my 80 - 400 zoom lens and love the results.
The upgrade from the D7200 to the D500 in just too much to let go when considering your bent towards BIF.

The new Mac mini with the M1 chip is an integrated chip. The memory I part of the M1 chip and a such cannot be upgraded by the user. This isn't all bad as this on chip memory is what is called unified control memory that is used across the board by both CPU and GPU. It has been stated that this allows for maximum efficient use of the memory and allows the operating system to do more with less memory.

I run my MAC with 16GB of RAM with no problems at all. I'm not a huge post processor of my images so I may not be taxing my system all that much either.

Check out all of the M1 mini reviews on the web . . . .they all are very impressed with its off the shelf capabilities.
