It's very technically involved as the process takes 6 images within the image circle of a 4x5 by shifting the sensor through those 6 positions. An exposure is made at each position. This effectively increases the size of the sensor by approximately 500%

Now to fine tweak the exposure capabilities of the sensor.

The scene is devastatingly depressing. This was part of the largest active fire in the U.S. about a week ago. Parts of the area are still burning. However, the highway through the area is open, after about two weeks of being closed. Some of the guardrails are deformed by the heat. It was human caused but not sure if it was carelessness or an accident.

I have two of these. Had them since 1990.
Both cameras are identical in condition. One says Japan and other says Taiwan. Both are the same.
The price is honorable and fare.

Ok Hoggers and Hoggettes; You film guys and gals, this is your lucky day. I am selling off my two babies, Canon G-III QL17's. They are honestly like new and very low film mileage.
Both Freshly CLA'd at Garland Camera, Garland Texas.
They were good to go already but still to assure any potential buyer, I had them serviced anyway. I do not have a light system to show you the very clean details..so I did the best I could shooting these pictures outside.
To those of you who know this model you know the details. These are considered the 'poor mans Leica' because of the very sharp and quality lens.
At my age my poor tired eyes just cannot focus good enough through the view finders to capture what I want to present.
These are damn good image cameras. Just Goggle the comparisons to the Leica’s.
The light meter was adjusted and tested for the 1.5V alkaline batteries used today. Part of the CLA process.
New light seals installed as part of the CLA process.
Film tested both with ASA 200, 400, and 800.
New battery.
NO flaws in the lens and view finder, like NEW.
240.00 each and this is a fair and honest price, they easily sell for more.

I am running out of storage space on my laptop and have decided to swap out my hard drive with a 2TB Samsung SSD. I viewed a couple of Youtube tutorials about the process and decided to try it myself. Downloading Samsung's Data Migration software and using it to clone the hard drive data and programs to the SSD doesn't seem like a difficult process. Before I attempt this process, I am curious to know if anyone tried it and had any problems I should know about.

Frank this is a very simple too do I’ve done this a few times Samsung’s Data Migration software is wonderful product don’t worry about, you do have A USB 3.0 to SATA Adapter for 2.5 SSD CABLE. Or something compatible.

There is one thing I recommend is too clean up your hard drive dump stuff you no longer use, over the years we accumulate lots thing on the HD, for programs uninstall them.

For men only

Next time you release a little flatulence and your wife gets on your case, just present her with this picture to explain the facts. Might not be a bad idea to have your dentists phone number on your speed dial. No need to thank me: I'm just trying to help keep the peace.

Now that’s forever funny. Thanks for making me laugh.

Thanks Bob. I have been on Navy ships twice, both LPH (Landing Platform Helicopter) types, the Boxer and the Tripoli. I went to Vietnam on the Boxer, LPH-4 and then deployed offshore with my squadron on the LPH-10, Tripoli. While aboard I thought often of ships at war in WW2 and actual videos I had seen of huge ships such as battleships, carriers and so on taking hits from torpedoes, bombs or shells from other ships. I definitely earned my pay as a door gunner in a helicopter in Vietnam but I could not imagine the terror of being below decks during a battle knowing at any minute you could take a direct hit, as with the Arizona, and go down. One thinks of these ships as being indestructible due to their size and yet many videos show them taking a couple of torpedoes and literally breaking in half and going down in a matter of a couple of minutes. Definitely scary to say the very least.

It comes down to every one of our service branches earning well deserved pay even when there is no actual fighting war.

Around 99°F yesterday afternoon when my usually hard to capture Bullocks Oriole came in twice for a drink and a bath. Through window glass, unfortunately, as he is very shy. D7200 Nikon 200-500 5.6

A little drink, I think I need a bath. Nice series of the Oriole. Thank you for posting them.

I've done a search on this subject and it appears it has not been discussed on this forum since 2015. I've downloaded and tried several different brands of backup software and have not found one that I feel covers everything I want. I'm not asking for too much, am I? User friendly, scheduling, selective folder or files backup, being able to see a thumbnail of the image backed up on my external drive? In fact, very few provide the thumbnail image of a photo. Most programs do compression into one huge backup file and if a separate backup image file is shown, only the file name or an icon of the photo file is shown. I'm even willing to pay for the software. Anyone have any recommendations for me? Thank you.

I would like to expand this question. What about using the cable that comes with your camera to download to a computer rather than removing the card and placing it in a card reader? Pros and cons?

I do that camera too computer it’s just a little slower. as too a card reader it’s much faster but no bent pins.

I just got a recorded phone call supposedly from Amazon. The man's voice said that there had been suspicious activity - a charge of over $1,400. Then there was something about pushing buttons on the phone, but that was the end of it. Looking online, my Amazon account seems to be okay, and I doubt they would use a recording to tell me about a suspicious charge.

The caller ID showed 267-133-9979. Looking online, that seems to be from an insurance company. When I called the number, I got a rapid beeping. Maybe someone is spoofing that company's number and calling hundreds of numbers with that recording. What's especially weird is that the recording didn't ask me for any information, although it could have been lost in the last sentence or two that seemed to fade away.

Anyway, something else to watch out for.
