You guys crack me up. Read the rest of the ad. Used cameras start at $40 They aren't worth repairing. Thats my 2 cents worth and I am sticking too it. In my area here in Oregon you can't give that model away.

Hi: I owned one of these lenses, which I purchased new. I was lucky that the dealer had 4 of these lenses and I was able to shoot with all 4 lenses before my purchase. Believe me when I say they were all different. I picked the sharpest and most contrasty of the 4 and was very happy with my purchase. I have since sold the lens to a photographer that takes airplane photo's. He was very happy with his purchase and has sent me photo's from time to time. I made one memorable photo that paid for the lens when I sold the image. I hope this info helps. Good luck.

I like this alot. Though the subjects and the action look a little lost in the scale of the photo, any cropping would take away from the vista. It probably looks better 16 X 20 or so.
Very nice....

Thanks for your comment. The file size is over 200 megs. I originally shot this with my 6x7, then scanned it on my Nikon scanner. You are exactlly right, the image does not really shine until you get up to about 30 x 40 inches. It has great detail at that size.

Hi: I love this waterfall and been there many times. You did a great job photographing it. Please don't be affended, but I remembered the falls with a little more color. I took the liberty with your photo to add just a little more color.

Hi: I am surprised to hear that a contest wants a matted photo. I have entered several contest's and they usually just want the photo or a photo that is mounted on foam core. The easiest way I have found to mount a photo and do it correctly is to purchase and use a dry mount press. Put the photo in a protective sleeve and send it off. Used dry mount presses are cheap to purchase and easy to use. Make sure you get a Seal brand if you decide to mount your own photo's. I hope this helps, and I am sure there are other photographers on the forum will have other ideas as well. Good luck on your contest.

That's a great idea, fun and educational. Here are a few images from the Eastern Shore . Being new to this forum and photography the selection process is difficult for me so I just picked some random water and farmland shots.
I'll search for more typical ones...
Please critique so I learn.
:)
Fred: As you know photography is two dimensional, but your second shot you added another dimension. Depth which is all important in photography and you sure did a good job with a vanishing point of the fence and great depth of field. A great job. Thanks for sharing your photography.

Hi: Everyone, Iam a new member to this forum. I have been involved in photography in one way or another for 50 years, and I am still learning. What I really enjoy about this forum is the diversity of photographs. We all live in different areas of the World and it is a real pleasure for me to view these photo's from your part of the World. I can't wait for Fall photos of New England, and other parts of the country. You all are great photographers some further along then others, but all on the same mission to take better photo's. My hat goes off to all of you, and good luck on your photographic journey.

Hi: For what it is worth I have to close friends that are both professional photographers. One shoots still lifes & product photography, the other does portraits and architecture. Both belong to i stock which is based out of Canada. The first photographer that does still lifes, makes $2000 per month doing this part time, and the photographer that does architecture photography makes $4000 per month part time. I know these figures are true and accurate. I hope this helps. i stock is a great company to do business with as well.
