I have researched prior comments on UHH but would appreciate current comments comparing these two cameras, and perhaps recommending other cameras.

I am considering selling my Canon 70D and purchasing one of these "bridge cameras." My photos consist of grandchildren, family events, vacations and some landscapes. It appeals to me to have a self-contained camera and not fool with so many lens -- as long as the photos have good resolution, IQ or whatever you call it.

Any thoughts?

I have had a Sony RX10 since it came out. About a month after I bought it, the price went down about $900. Sigh. I absolutely love this camera. I use it when I don't want to lug around the DSLR. Never had a problem. Good luck.

Hi, I'm Tom! Been reading around here for a little while, but thought it was about time to introduce myself! I was really into photography in high school and college (long time ago) and after a long (too long) time away I am getting back into the joy of photography! Looking forward to learning a bunch from all of you!

Welcome, you won't be disappointed.

I would like to sell my Canon 70D with a 50mm F1.8 II lens attached in a Tamrac Day Pack 71 bag. Comes with original packing and all the accessories and an extra battery.

I am selling because I am interested in getting a new Canon FF camera.

Please PM me if interested. I am asking $900 plus the cost to ship.

Thanks.

Recently purchased a Canon70D. Presently grinding away at attempting to harness its potential. I a active on Flickr and throughly enjoy the post processing aspect of digital photography. I am a " newbee" and at times find the use of F/stops difficult to grasp.

The saddest thing about the Vietnam war is that we as a nation learned nothing from it. Witness Iraq and Afghanistan. Vietnam cost us 50,000+ lives and billions dollars. Iraq and Afghanistan, thousands of lives lost with more to come and trillions of dollars. Meanwhile, our country's infrastructure and education system are going down the tubes due to lack of funding. Yet we send to Washington people to represent us and insist on getting us into unwinnable wars and who just don't get it.

Been reading for a few weeks, thought I'd just jump on in. Enjoy taking pics, mostly wildlife. Have a D90 with over 80,000 clicks and still doing pretty good for me. I have a lot to learn, but loving it.

I've seen several articles lately about that, and retiring later can earn you more per month, but you're still losing several years of income. I know a friend who worked the maximum number of years to get his maximum retirement. I was retired for years before he retired. I was sleeping late and traveling while he was getting up early and going to work. A few dollars more each month are not that important to me.
