These barns are in Rome, NY and i ride by them all the time. I always mentioned to my wife that they remind me of Monopoly buildings. When the snow came they stood out even more, had to shoot them. Gave a 13x19 print to owners.
No real technique, every photo different so if im not happy with a photo i process it in PS until i get what i like. I guess the fact that I'm a Graphic Designer and have been using PS since it was invented has alot to do with it.
Very nice, great images. I will never get used to womem with tats, sort of cheapens them, IMO
Thanks for comments. This photo was deemed a Masterpiece by Leitz. I have sold several of these images, believe it or not sizes sold in excess of 30 x 40, "film" cant beat it.
Shot 40 yrs ago with Leica M3 w 50mm lens on TriX pushed to 800 and processed in Microdol for finer grain. Light source B/W TV set.
Im so sorry wasnt aware of the problem with posting artistic nudes, will not happen again.
This a nude I shot over 40 yrs ago by thr light from a B/W tv set. I couldnt afford studio lights so made do with what i had. I used a Leica M3, the light level so low doubt i could have focused with any other camera. Shot w TriX, pushed to ISO 800 and developed in Microdol for finer grain. Leitz considered this photo a masterpiece, hope you like it.
Thanks everyone, i have so many photos i believe you all will enjoy but havent been able to load as yet. Thanks again.
These shots were taken with different cameras, Leica M8, and Kodak DCS Pro14. Just a few of many.
Beautiful shots, classic B/W!
Well done Jim, nice series.
I would say yes, even the best of images can be improved. I worked in the Advertising industry for years and just about every photo we used needed retouching.
Thanks for the welcome all, will post images that i have available.
Hi everyone! Ive been into photography for a long time. Started back in the 60's when i got a Leica IIIf as a down payment for a car i was selling. I've shot many rolls of film, B/W as well as color and used to process all my B/W film, as well as my color transparencies, myself. I have several Leicas now, the last one being an M8, which i am very satisfied with. I doubt i will purchase any more since i injured myself in a fall down a flight of stairs and really cant do much walking any more. I will be 78 in Dec., but i will keep shooting!
Well done, beautiful shots.
