I did it. I ordered it. It will be here Tuesday. I can hardly wait.

Congratulations! I have the same lens in Nikon and use it more frequently than I thought I would. I randomly picked a couple shots of this cute girl I took a couple of weeks ago using that lens. Good luck. You'll love the results.

Good catches Rob! I got one a long time ago of a daddy with his daughter on his shoulders...but her little crack was showing, so I never posted it! :(

Thanks. Probably a smart move but would you have posted if his was showing? :D :D

Be careful when taking pics of other people's kids. Get their permission. I know, it's a scary world out there.

Thanks for viewing. Yes, I was aware so after I took the shots I went up to the dad and showed him. He smiled and said "thank you". I offered to email them to him. There are thousands of cameras at Disney but you are correct in being careful!!

Thanks Bill, I shot the first one as I liked the light on the dad's face. After that it was just watching the boy slowly go out! I have no idea who they were but you're right it tells a short story!! Thanks again!

Now that tells a story. Great instincts catching that.

All are nice but #3 is worthy of NG or Audubon.

Thanks so much. That's as nice a compliment as I could receive from anyone on this forum. Compliments like that keep me going out and shooting. Happy New Year!!

Just great!

Thanks. Got lucky on the first one as I hadn't switched my camera to burst mode. The heron took off and only had a single shot. Did I say lucky? Yup!

Thanks. I've picked up a lot of fine tips from this forum. Now it's putting them to practice.

do you put it in tracking. for BIF'S?

I use back-button focusing, continuous AF and 9 focal points. That is the only tracking I've used so far.
