I absolutely agree with Cany143. #6 was my favorite from this interesting series. The interplay of the tree, the leaves and the rocks was nicely composed.

The photo really gives a sense of the neighborhood. Love the red and yellow leaves on the trees and the brown leaves on the ground. And the diagonal railing leads the eye right into the photograph.

I agree, the car adds a focal point and life to the photo. Otherwise, the road just goes out of the frame.

Interesting that "the road just goes out of the frame" seems to be a negative. For me, the road going out of the frame makes the photo more dynamic. One can ask, "Where does the road go?" "Does it circle the mountain?" "Are there more hairpin turns up ahead." It can engage the viewer. But then there are still those clouds that are blown out.

Interesting that "the road going out of the frame" seems to be mentioned as a "negative." For me, the road going out of the frame makes the photo more dynamic. You can wonder where the road goes. Does it lead to the mountain? Are there more hairpin turns? Moving out of the frame can engage the viewer. But then there are still those clouds that are blown out.

You captured the delicacy of petals. Lovely!

Especially love #6. The weather had already turned gloomy (so great for photographers) so the sky took on an interesting patchwork of light and dark, the Opera House really glows in this photo and the boat zooming by in the lower right adds its own point of interest. A very successful shot!

I'm with NMGal. I like the first and last especially. The first one is beautifully composed, and you really captured the light in the last one.

Such a great series. I echo Charlie157; love the first image, especially the play of light on the woodpecker's head.

Arrived at June Lake very late in the day. Only had a chance to grab a few photos before it got too dark. Was not happy with the results but hate to give up on photographs. Turned this one into an Impressionist view. I think it works. Comments?

What a lovely capture. Love the shallow DOF, the spot of red and the detail of the leaves' surface. I thought of "dancers" when I saw the photo.

Love the sharpness of the egret and the shallow DOF. You caught him in an elegant position with his wings extended.

I think the car becomes a distracting focal point. For me, the impact of the photo is the Nature all around the road and even the gentle curve of the road out of the scene. That said, I agree with one of the earlier respondents that the clouds are a bit blown out and detract from the overall image.
