Neither, they are both seriously over saturated.
And it looks like you over dosed on the noise reduction.
Its kind of a rookie mistake, I did the very same things at first.
Unless you are going for some kind of special effects,
The more natural you can make your shot look, the better it will be.

I'd take the right one. It looks slightly higher then the left. One should always strive to take the high road.

Can you take good pictures? Sure, almost anyone can do that with the equipment available nowadays. So what is your time worth to you? Do you take photos for a living or for fun? I know firemen that only make fifteen dollars an hour and they save lives so don't even talk to me about a photo taker being worth a crapload of money. My camera ( Sony A77 with a Sony 18-250 lens ) takes great photos and I know my subject matter ( wrecks, fires, and doggy pictures ) so when asked to do something in a different style I leave it to the customer as to what they want to pay.

I know people who work for less than ten dollars an hour and they don't save lives. Maybe the fireman should look for a higher paying job. Just because one has an expensive camera it doesn't make them a photographer anymore than owning a hose and a ladder make you a fireman. People don't pay you for the equipment you have. They pay you for your skill.

My mechanic charges $80.00 for an hour or part of an hour. You can't expect your friend to pay what you would get for a wedding. If it's only an hour or so. Depending on what is wanted and you say it is for a friend. I would charge $100.00 to $150.00 or just tell her your busy that day.

I just opened it in elements and clicked High Key and then clicked B&W. It's not as good as some of the others but easy to do.

Personally I hate self checkout, it provides people a reason for not showing up for work and also provides a greater opportunity for someone to steal from a company that has these. The only reason to have these stations is to increase the bottom line for the company because they don't have to pay wages or benefits.

I don't know where al13 worked that he got paid for his sick time when he retired but my company doesn't pay out for unused sick time and they threaten termination when ever you do use it.

No, not yet. I hear that the crowds are overwhelmingly large and it's difficult shooting with so many people. I'm not particularly set up to shoot BIF's. I only have a Canon 250mm kit lens. I would think I'd need more reach.
Conowingo's about 20 minutes North of me and easy to get to. Been over the dam many, many times over the last 65 years. The Susquehanna is beautiful there.

OK, I used to fish there when I was young. I haven't been there for years. My Daughter was there last year and got quite a few good eagle shots. She rented a 150-500 for her Nikon D90 and it worked out well.
