Incorrect, Photography is not about the equipment. It's about how you use it or how you manipulated light, shadows and the subjects around these elements. As Yoda said "you must unlearn what you have learn"

Step back for a moment, the K&F adapter you ordered does not have any connectors or connecting pins. The Fuji camera does and the Tamron lens does also, thous without any connections you're left to manual focus everything. Please make sure that you have follow through connecting pins from the camera, through the adapter to the lens. (if Applicable)

Greetings all, I have been a long time user of polarizing filters as I enjoy the finished images enhanced color without reflections. I use them on my Nikon 24-70, 70-200 and until recently my Sigma 50-500 with great success.

The 50-500 has been passed on to my son and I opted to purchase the Sigma 60-600. I love it and its performance with one exception. I have tried to use two different 105mm polarizers and the lens will not deliver a sharp image until it is removed.

Can anyone let me know why this happens? They have been Circular polarizers as I have used in the past.

Please make sure that the filter is legit, and if you're in auto focus mode, you may need what is know as CPL polarization filter. Read what I've said here: https://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-603730-2.html#10390290
The new Gobe Polarization filter technically listed as an official "CPL" will arrive later today.

Edit: here's a quick tip to check the filter, Remove the filter from your lens, hold it in front of the computer screen then slowly rotate the outer ring, Check to see if the filter gradually goes from light to dark and watch the window's icons on the screen they should go nearly or complete black, if they do not your filter could be counterfeit, But we would need to check other areas of the filter and packaging to verify.

Going rate for a "new" 5Dsr is $3,500 so unless he's asking around 1/3 that, I wouldn't be interested, nor should you.

I might be mistaken but i believe we should define the terms precisely so everyone would be looking at the same apple.

A. A professional is someone who earns their living from their activity.
It does not always mean they are experts in their careers, just that they are earning out of it.
An attitude or way that directly improves the activity

B. An amateur does things for the love of doing it. They do not get paid and although it also means incompetent, many amateurs are far better and knowledgeable than some professionals.

C. Hobbyist are those who endure serious leisure pursuit having no significant professional counterpart and being too poorly remunerated to constitute a livelihood. Hobbies are usually, but not always, practiced primarily for interest and enjoyment, rather than financial reward.

Well if we look at the above meanings, then:
1. There is no such thing as a hobby photographer as photography is a career choice.
2. There is no limit to what can be called a professional camera. Professional is the person and whatever that person is using is a professional tool. Is there an entry level hammer? or an entry level phone?
3. If we look at boxers, we can also see that being a professional does not always mean you get better the longer you are into it.
4. If someone get paid, he is no longer an amateur but either good or bad professional
5. Professional only means there is money involved. An amateur racer, basketball player and so on, do not get a power up just because he signs a contract.
6. Professional only means there is money involved. The more he can rely on it as a primary means of living then the more professional he gets.
7. A Celphone is a professional camera when used by Pollock.
8. A Nikon F is an amature camera
9. The Canon 7D is expensive
10. Just like fish and meat, some like it raw, some like it scooc
11. Neutral grey will join the nearest software.
12. If you are reading this, perhaps you now understand the absurdity of some of the things being discussed.

We are all in the same boat, let us learn together instead of butting heads and rowing our own way...

Blooming
Pixels on a DSLR sensor collect photons, which are converted into an electrical charge. However, the pixels can occasionally collect too many photons, which causes an overflow of electrical charge. This overflow can spill onto existing pixels, causing overexposure in areas of an image. This is known as blooming.

Most modern DSLRs have anti-blooming gates which help to drain away this excess charge.

though I'm not sure that is the explanation for the black edge.

Correct and that's why I asked & knew you're using a sony camera. For years I've been telling others & they chose not to believe it or me, that sony (camera developers) write different software for their companies. Because of these differences with the digital software development, all camera companies will have some degree of errors within how the camera reads the image. Sony & Fujifilm are the main two culprits. I noticed this for the first time back in 2014 with my then new Fujifilm XP60 the images all had these black lines or the image looks as if it was layered even cookie cutterish best way to describe it.

Since then, I'll never purchase a sony or Fujifilm ever again. Chalk this image up as a learning experience or mistake. Next time.. take the best or another camera and I'm sure I'll never hear the end of my comments from others. Either you believe it or you don't. Sony & Fujifilm fails and falls short of their software development.

NOTE: As for a rebuttal from others about what I've just said above, I'll not respond to them. If the Oper has questions about what I've said I'll gladdy answer them. I'll not take part in a back and forth debate about what others have said or believe and don't try to convince me otherwise. Continue to use Sony or Fujifilm then you'll continue to see these types of errors within your shots.

Exactly, thats what happen to both the Kodak easyshare & Fujifilm XP60. Both have plastic tripod threads as one simply broke out and the other the threads gave way. The odd thing is I never removed replace back and forth with either of these. The Kodak RIP but the Fujifilm is still functioning.. barely. Mind you I've complain to more than my share of camera manufactures to create something better. All they have to say is to leave the detachable tripod mount on the camera etc. So whats going to happen next with my Canon M6 a camera cage..

I'm reluctant in entering my images into contest or exhibits. One reason is that what I like doesn't mean other will like it. I would be suggested that you gather a group of friends and talk about several of your images. Vote on which seem more suited to be entered into these events.
As for printing, I leave all that Michaels as they've done superbly so far. in other words take your saved images to a framing shop or Micheal and having them upload the images to their system, they will discus with you the correct sizes and frame options.

I'd have to say, rent one or many different brands first. But so far this Canon EOS M6 has been doing what I've wanted it to. But I'll be pushing the limit of this camera with more lenses and accessories. The camera, two lenses (50mm & 100mm) have been purchased via Canon refurbished department. Saving us money. The only new items have been the adapters needed for these lens to work with the camera. Now I'm not saying the factory or boxed lenses aren't going to work for you. I just prefer to use prime/fixed lenses.
